Tasker "time context" cannot restore previous state switching off the phone
Hello,
I am able to setup a "time context" from time X to time Y. If I switch OFF the phone while the profile is active, Tasker is not able to restore the previous state later. E.g. a task to set "Do not disturb" mode ON from late night to the early morning.
Is it ok as expected?
Thanks and regards

Profile deactivates shortly after phone locks
Hi,
I have a few different profiles which mostly modify the volume of phone ringer, etc which are triggered by Wifi Near states. For instance, while at home at night or at work, these profiles reduce the volume of the ringer. I also have a "default" profile which has a condition that it activates only if none of the other profiles are active and this default returns volumes to normal and does a few other things. Since using Tasker on my Huawei P30 Pro, I've been noticing that when I'm at home or at work, which means the @home

next alarm filter
Hi,
Is there a way to add a filter for the next alarm package provider ?
Because I want to put the date and time of my next morning alarm in a http post, but the %na variables are always overrided by different packages than the clock.
Example :
My next morning alarm is in 2 days.
Now :
- %na_day value is today
- %na_time value is 21:04
- %na_package is com.android.providers.calendar
If I create an alarm today I can sometime have the value of this alarm and the good %na_package : com.android.deskclock but most of the time it

Cannot find a guide how to edit the conditions for a profile
I am new to takser coming from llama.
I searched with google and looked for tasker tutorials but no success.
I could not even find easy examples how to set up some obvious things like switching wifi off at night.
I finally managed to create a profile with a schedule condition which switches wifi off at night but now I want to change the time condition but cannot find a way to do it except creating another profile and deleting the old one.
I also created a profile to switch wifi off when I leave home.
With llama it was

Bluetooth connected
When bluetooth connected to a specific device is active (and shown in the profils tab) the trigger "doesn't launch" the associate task.
If I manually launch the task (by the tasks tab) I confirm that the task is working.
Also I can see the trigger and the task call in the execution log, and the differents actions inside the tasks without any error. But the actions are not actually performed.
I tried different actions (launch app, pop-up notification, ...) with the same results.
I try on another phone (same model, and same configuration) with the same result.

detection of wireless charging
Is it possible that the detection of (wireless?) charging is slow/unreliable when motion detection setting in preferences is turned on?
Background: I have a home profile that becomes active when either wifi connection OR location (geofence) indicate that I am at home. Since I do not want the home profile to be active when my car profile is active I also added the condition “not car-profile active”. The car profile becomes active as soon as wireless charging is detected and stays active as long as the phone is in contact with the wireless charger. – Now, when I leave home,

Launch App only works if I'm inside tasker
If I set a task to launch an app it will only do it if I have tasker open and running in the foreground and I'm browsing inside it. Otherwise apps aren't launching e.g from home screen with tasker minimised.other things like vibrate on trigger work so the task is initiated. But apps do not launch. Seeing the logs it says all is good and app is launched.
Example:
Event: shake up and down -> task: 1) vibrate, 2) launch camera.
If I'm inside tasker in any menu, if I shake 1 and 2 happen. But if I'm anywhere else,

When Tasker has Notification Access & Do Not Disturb Access (to control ringer) it breaks the Greyscale feature of Wind Down in Android 10
I've been using a Pixel 2 since they were released and I used to have a profile which would see I am near my work's wifi and then set my ringer to 0 as not to disturb coworkers. This worked perfectly and had no ill effects for a few years.
I'm not sure exactly when, probably around February/March, the Greyscale feature of Wind Down would, seemingly at random times, disable itself after it had been activated (both manually & by time of day).
I was able to narrow the behavior down to Tasker and, specifically, Notification/DnD access permissions.

Notification on new messages is missing when app is back from deny net access mode
Hi,
I'm trying to restrict network access (Wi-Fi & Data) to Gmail and WhatsApp, i.e. no access for certain period of time. The problem is that whenever there were new messages in "restricted" time, then they don't pop-up automatically when "unrestricted" time kicks in. However if they are received in "unrestricted" time, then they do pop-up. Now I have to open apps and see, if there are any new messages. What I would like to achieve - is to disable network access to these apps, and if there were new messages in "restricted" time, then to get pop-up in for

Wrong Application Icon in Widget
Hi!
I have created a widget on the home screen. Depending on the profile, I change the widget icon and text (and some other things) via tasks (Set Widget Icon). For the widget icon, I use an application icon since it launches the application when clicked.
There are two problems with the widget's icon:
When setting the icon to the application icon for Google Maps, it doesn't show the usual map icon but a red location marker instead. There seems to be a problem with how the application icon is selected. In the task definition in Tasker, the correct icon

Android 10 Tasker Notification Information
Hi, the implemented idea a couple days ago which allowed the Tasker Notification Information to be collapsed and show the current profiles in the Notification Title worked for Android 9 very good.
I upgraded to Android 10 and now Notifications are showed duplicated and sometimes it switches back to only one as it should be but immediately duplicates again. And for the main issue, it seems the Profiles are not written to the Notification Title again like prior the idea implementation.
Here another screenshot with another app how that is displayed in Android 10

Application profiles broken since v5.8
HTC Butterfly S Android 5.0.2 XPosed framework v80 Tasker 5.8 - 5.8.5
Hi João,
My application-context profiles, which used to work flawlessly for years, have been broken since the rollout of Tasker v5.8. They became unreliable. They either don't trigger at all (in one or both directions), or activate only for a brief moment (i.e. the exit task immediately follows the entry task even though the assigned app was never moved from the foreground).
A couple of days ago I returned to 5.7.2 (from 5.8.5), so they are working fine again. Can you please find out what went wrong in

Existing profiles are automatically enabled when you import scripts from Taskernet System
Sometimes, when you import Profiles/Projects (including profiles) from the Taskernet system, several existing profiles that have been disabled are automatically enabled. (As shown in the video below)
I found that if the ID of profile in the import script is the same as an existing profile, the existing profile will be enabled automatically. For instance, in the script that will be imported below, the ID of the profile is 4. If there is an existing profile with an id of 4, in the case, the profile will be enabled automatically.
<Profile sr="prof4" ve="2"> <id>4</id> ... </Profile>

Increase history items for "cell near" context
Dear Joao,
I work a lot with Context "Cell Near" e.g. to detect work places,...
To set the cells for my wifes place I look at the context in the evening when she comes home.
Sadly the history (in the cell near context magnifying glass) is to short and so does not show the cells from in the morning. Could you please at least double, better tripple the history or make it a preference.
