Cleartext http traffic to not permitted

Napoleon Jaramillo · 1 · Last reply by Paolo Razza

I am controlling an insteon hub with HTTP Request, when I test them since tasker works, but when I export it as an application and use it on android 9, I have the error of cleartext http traffic to not permitted. It would be helpful to be able to configure like this:

Element Create scene action loses its content after opening it again

SmartPhoneLover · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

I want to report a bad behavior related to the Element Create action, under Scene category.

The problem is when the user loads that action again, after being created and edited, all the text content disappears. So, even you have an Anchor action where to save the current configuration (to be edited if needed), it has to be created again.

Note: A demo is included as an attached file.

    Queueing bugs with multiple Javascriptlets

    Richard Kemp · 0 · Posted

Tasks A and B both contain JSlets, but when I run the master task only the JSlet in A executes, i.e. neither the flash B nor the vibrate occur.

%CELLSIG and %CELLSRV don't return the correct values

    Robert L Ryan · 0 · Posted

%CELLSIG always returns -1 and %CELLSRV always returns unknown for LTE networks.

Apparently this is a long standing issue.

The state of Use New Cell API has no effect.

Use an Android TV Oreo Conditional Detection to apply "workaround" for HUGE UI bug when accessibility is turned on in AutoInput AND Tasker

Joel · 5 · Last reply by Mitchell Anderson

    I'm referencing this:

    https://tasker.helprace.com/i426-android-tv-oreo-accessibility-problems-with-tasker

    and this

    https://tasker.helprace.com/i245-android-tv-oreo-accessibility-problems

Your case for reverting the fix was that it messed with the UI of the Volume Up / Down Indicator. Which, is a good point. BUT - that's only inconvenient on mobile, not on Android TV (it still happens but it's not that inconvenient - though Aaron has a fix for that as well below). Turning Accessibility on for Android TV basically breaks the Homescreen and is not even usable making any accessibility features almost useless on any app.

BUT BUT BUT - here is the fix to that: https://cloudup.com/cnBPalSffz7

    AND - you can

Unable to Import settings from file xml

    Salvo Parisi · 0 · Posted

Using a Phone (call it phone1) i've created some settings. I've exported them to a xml file. I copied this xml to another phone (call it phone2) where Tasker is installed. But in the Tasker's settings (of phone2) I can't find the option Import from file (only from Google Drive). In order to enable the option "load from local file" (in phone2) i've to export dummy data! After the "fake" export the option "load form file" has become visible.

Location Mode action broken on Android 9

anonymized · 3 · Last reply by Vincent Goh

The Location Mode action does not work as expected on Android 9. This is due to the new "Location Accuracy" setting which supersedes the three location modes that were used on previous versions on Android and that are still presupposed by Tasker. Details as per this post:

Import via share link fails due to missing permissions

schlimbo · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

When trying to import a project that has root actions integrated (via TaskerNET link), the import fails on non-rooted devices.

I get the following message during the import dialog:

    Missing Permissions

Tasker needs the following permission(s) for the functionality you have configured:

    Root Access

If i then click "ok" nothing happens and the import aborts without message

I don't see a reason why the import should not work in this case.

Notify action icon bug in MIUI

    Rino0099 · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

I noticed that changing icon in notify action in tasker doesn't work. It always show default Tasker app icon in notification. The same is happening in Autonotification.

On stackoverflow i found this: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/40146059/java-android-redmi-3-miui-notification-icons-cannot-be-changed

And i made task which show notification with correct icon, so is it possible to fix this bug in Tasker?

My device is Xiaomi Redmi 4X with MIUI 8 / MIUI 9

CELLSRV Not Updating On LG V20 With Stock Android 7

David White · 6 · Last reply by David White

Hello. I have owned and used Tasker for years. I just got a new phone, LG V20 w/Android 7. This is a flagship phone and I am running stock (although systemless rooted) Android firmware. Unlike my last phone (Note 3, stock/rooted Android 4.4.2) Tasker is simply not updating the CELLSRV variable on the new LG phone. It always seems to report "unknown". I have tried enabling new cell api with no change. I have read posts from Pent that this can vary by ROM (specifically regarding CM Android) but I find it hard to believe that something like a flagship

    Cancel import from URL link

    . · 0 · Posted

When you click on an URL link to import items in to Tasker, if you choose to cancel by choosing the back button on the navigation bar instead of touching No on the screen, a toast notification pops up saying "Imported". I think the default action when choosing to use the back button should be to cancel unless the user explicitly chooses yes.
