Currently Tasker can only store images into DCIM/Tasker which has the problem that Google's Photos app will index them and upload them to Google Photos without the ability to exclude that directory. We should be able to select any target directory.

I can't record calls (incoming and outgoing). Let me explain.

For that I use a task with the action "Record sound", found in the tab "media". I have specified the destination path (correct path), and the name of the file that will be created. I put a maximum size of 300. Format: AMR Narrowband and the same for the codec.

When I receive a call and answer (task triggering), an error message appears: "Failure to initialize the recorder")...

However, the action works if I change the source and put "Microphone".

How can i solve this problem ?

Today I runned a shell script about "Getevent" -same as above discussions- with 5 sec of timeout. But it doesn't timeout.

And it worked on my device earlier, but after several updates, some months, today, it doesn't.

Please note that the sliders make small jumps when going from units to tens to hundreds, which makes modifying them by hand a bit difficult. Also, the total lenght of the slider is modified while sliding.

Instead of porcentually assigning pixels to the number on the left and then filling the gap with the slider to the right, the text box should be big enough to fit number 999 and then the slider should fill rest of the gap with a fixed length.

I have created a profile with Event Context to check the %CELLID variable is set (value is blank) and trigger a task when this variable is set.

In Tasker -> Preferences -> Monitor, I have enabled "Cell Workaround" and "Use New Cell API" options.

This profile will work and triggers the linked task without any issues when it is in Tasker, but if I export this project as an standalone app (with all required permissions) and install it, this profile will not trigger at all from the app.

Please help to solve the issue.

I have tried multiple profiles but cannot get them to run automatically

Trigger Work, Based on Location, NET & GPS , Radius 100m - Fails to run. ave swicthed off/on GPS, have increased radius , still fails

Trigger Car Mode, Based on BT Connect, Name selected from search 'VOLVO' and address from search - FAILS.  Have tried switching to BT Headphones to try and trigger, - BT off and On - still fails

Trigger Night Mode, based on Time, - FAILS.

I use the Tasker "Toggle Quick Setting" to enable / disable vibrate mode. It was working without issues on Android 9. On Android 10 it works correctly only when "Do Not Disturb" is disabled. When it is enabled I get the following behavior: with a single tap I can enable "vibrate mode" with no issues (I set the "Toggle" status to "Active"), but when I tap it again most of the time it does not work. For some reason, wifi and Bluetooth names on my phone (Xiaomi 9T) end with a space, making them not match, since I remove the space. It took me a while to realize what was happening, even though I was using the scanning feature. The scanner was adding the space but I was removing it, thinking the addition was accidental, and then was wondering why the network name never matched.

I guess the extra space should be fixed, or maybe ignored? This happens for all networks, and I know they definitely don't all end in a space.

I wanted to create a task on an HP Touchpad running Android 4.4.4 (CM by jcsullins) to deactivate the daydream screensaver if the light is very low. The setting can be modified with secure settings plugin, that's great but I've got some issue trying to get the light sensor current value. I've discovered that %caller reports the wrong context when two different contexts with the same priority call the same named task at the same time.

You can reproduce this by creating a named task (I called mine Collision Test), with collision handling set to "Run Both Together" with the following action:

1. Array Push: %Collision, Position: 1, Value: %caller()

Then call the task "Collision Test" in both the entry and exit tasks of two different contexts that have the same priority:
