Validation after Factory Reset
I did a Factory Reset on an old phone - Android 2.1.1. Play Store will not load & a side-loaded Tasker expired without validating. I have the Google purchase email but no validation code included.

I installed an old version of Play Store but it does not support payment. I don't understand why it asks me to buy again. The device comes with Google Market ...but that does not work at all. This old device was very useful for running all my home automation ...which I do not want to run from my current smartphone.
I had hoped the Tasker v1.6u2 downloaded from the website would automatically verify ...but it hasn't ...it just expired.

I did a Factory Reset on an old phone running Android Froyo 2.1.1. Play Store is now charging me £3.15 to install again but will NOT allow payment transactions from the device so I cannot download. I tried 'pushing' a download from another device but nothing happens. A side loaded Tasker v1.6u2 expired without automatically validating. I have the Google purchase email but no validation code.
I'm guessing that Google doesn't support Google Play Store for such an old Android version. Could that be it?
