I had Tasker installed on a new Samsung S21 running Android 11 - this was installed as part of migration from old to new phone. On the new phone I've never run Tasker, or set it up at all.

I've kept getting toast type messages randomly appear on my phone saying there was no permission to check for a license. I had no idea which app was causing this, but after pulling the logs I can now see it was Tasker. ADB logcat snippet below:

Hi, I switched to xiaomi Mi 10 Miui 12 with android 11, I rooted with magisk, I use the using version of tasker and the pro version of secure settings, with huavei I had created a task that turned on the gps if connected to my machine , now the same task with the new device does not work, secure setting does not work to change the gps status. I am using "QuickTask" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.balda.quicktask) for simple quick settings tiles, and this has worked well for me for a long time. Since Tasker v5.12, clicking the quick settings tile no longer triggers an event in Tasker. I have tried reinstalling both Tasker and QuickTask and resetting Android quick settings via adb, but it still didn't work. It's only the event-triggering part of the quick settings tile which was not working; I was able to change the image and label of the quick settings tile using Tasker actions. I can also configure whether clicking the quick settings tile required an unlock,

An issue was observed that the display of a "TextEdit" created by action "Element Create" cannot be updated when the related global Var, Which is the content of "Text" of "TextEdit", is updated.

In my test, this issue does not exit if the "TextEdit" is created mannaully in the scene edit interface.

This issue was firstly appeared after I updated to 5.12. But it is still there when I go back to 5.11.

I have 2 function in my tasker. First is "Screening call" beacuase i have android 10+ (end call function no works). Another function is send sms after call is "busy". But SMS sends on a wrong number in list numbers maybe 3-4 times after call. When i call another number send sms to correct number 3-4times this is repeated.

I always need to send an sms to the last number that was rejected.

Don't know what it can be?

With K9 Mail Version 5.800, released some days ago, the event "3. Party Apps Event: K9 Email received" is no more availible because K9 will not raise it.

The event was removed from K9 Mail. (https://forum.k9mail.app/t/tasker-k9-email-received-event-no-longer-working/1218/2).

I suggest to remove the event from tasker or at least give an info when you select it in tasker to manually check that the K9 Version is below 5.800 or maybe tasker checks against the installed app version and hide the event.

Workaround/new best-practice is to hook on the "K9 Mail notification" in Android.

Hi, I have event where i need use only for SIM1 in  my mobile phone with dualSIM. I don't know how to se up an event only for SIM1. For SIM2 I don't need any events. Anyone advise me what to put in the variable ? 

First event is call screened and second send sms with text.

I am having an issue with using Get Location v2.

My device: Samsung Galaxy S9, Android 10, OneUI 2.5

Tasker: 5.12.22 and it has all permissions.

Location is definitely enabled on my phone and I am testing outdoors.

If I use only Get Location v2 the task will return this error

However if I add Get Location (v1) in front of it, it does work:

Enabling High Accuracy on v2 doesn't work and isn't really something I want to do.

Hello, kindly support rtl layout, for languages that are written from right to left...

I would like all menus, settings, tabs, events and tasks (etc) to be indented to the right instead of to the left.  Maybe a button in the settings that switch the layout easily?

Tasker Permissions was successfully (without any reported errors nor warnings) installed under Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS.

However after opening Tasker Permissions an error is reported as per the attached DialogWindow-shot.

The following actions were tried and did produce the same error:

1. from website  click on link https://github.com/joaomgcd/Tasker-Permissions/releases/download/v0.1.0/com.joaomgcd.taskerpermissions_0.1.0_amd64.deb and allow Ubuntu's Software-Installer to proceed.

2. from same website as in 1. "save as" from link https://github.com/joaomgcd/Tasker-Permissions/releases/download/v0.1.0/com.joaomgcd.taskerpermissions_0.1.0_amd64.deb and in a Terminal issue the command <sudo dpkg -i Dowloads/com.joaomgcd.taskerpermissions_0.1.0_amd64.deb>

Steps to reproduce: 0. Important: bug "activates" only after some time after Tasker was launched, like few hours 1. Create single task with any single action which use %CLIP variable, e.g. make Tasker to monitor it (via workaround, yeah) 2. While typing anywhere mark text and press Copy / Cut, e.g. change clipboard 2.1 Even enough modify clipboard via shell: service call clipboard 2 s16 "text" 3. For a second *any* keyboard hides and appears again (shown on attached video) 4.

When I show a scene and in that scene there is an action that opens an activity, it is closed

But I found that if I create another sena that calls this action, I can use it correctly, but this could be implemented to avoid creating this scene to make this workaround

Using the Alert > Popup creates a scene named "Popup".  This creates a conflict when trying to import any other project that also has a scene named "Popup".  Since scene names must be unique, no one can import my projects from Taskernet for this reason.   

Perhaps create a scene with a random name that is unlikely to be in use elsewhere for Alert > Popup, or allow duplicate scene names across projects?

The "Alarm Clock" event is not working for me, neither with nor without a label specified.

I'm having problems with Tasker draining battery. I use tasks for auto sync every hour, Cell near for wifi, auto sync on when power any and a gesture to start a app fhen flip phone. 

For some reason after few days, battery starts draining faster. When I disable Tasker, exit and remove it from background, start Tasker again and enable it, everything works again. Then after few days battery again starts to drain faster. When I do the described steps, it works again a few days and so on.

I created a profile that performs tasks on a calendar entry ("Telework" in this case). The event is recurrent in my calendar. The profile works perfectly.

However, sometimes I have to change the date of one (or more) of my teleworking days.

In this case, the scheduled tasks continue to run on the days when there is no more telework in my calendar and, conversely, do not run on the days when I have moved the telework.

Any idea on solving the problem?
