HTTP Request Action throws missing access storage permission notification even if no file output is configured in the action

Alexander Graetz · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

I recently startet replacing JavaScriptLets in my kidapp with HTTP Request actions and now my kid app complains about missing access storage permission whenever this action runs.

I don't use the action to access storage so it doesn't need this permission. Please fix this as I can't use the action as long as it asks for unnecessary permissions. It should only ask for this, if a file output is set.

    Thanks

Custom DND suppressed effects remain in effect when Allow All used

JP · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

I find if I use Custom DND with a suppressed effect (tested with Peek) then set DND to 'Allow All' the suppressed effect is still in effect.

I tested this with the following: Custom DND (with Peek suppressed) -> DND Allow All -> DND Query -> Flash %dnd_suppressed_effects().

As a workaround I use Custom DND with no suppressed effects then DND Allow All (just to clear the DND icon)

Event Time "Every" doesn't work properly

While i testing with the time event with the "every" option, i realized that this doesn't count correctly. I tried with the minimum of 2 min, I wanted a task to run every 2min when when I enable this profile, but it runs before the set 2min. I think this happens when you activate the profile, doesn't count the minutes correctly

Any sensor event always on irrespective of other condition?

    RmatriX1218 · 2 · Last reply by João Dias

    Hi,

I have a profile Call state any + any sensor state -> speakerphone On,

However, when I put my hand to proximity sensor any sensor event turns green even there is no call state.

Does it mean it keeps checking any sensor condition irrespective of other conditions and possible battery drain?

I don't have any means to validate this except reporting to you to check at your end.

    Thanks.

    maths adding negative number

Yesterday (or possibly one or two days before, I had tasker turned of for a while) one of my tasks that have been working for years started chrashing. After some debugging I've isolated the error to a 'set variable' where I add two other variables using 'do maths'. The problem occurs when the second of the variables added is negative. Trying to replicate the errror I found that if i just tried to set %newvar to e. g. 3+-1 there's no problem, but if i first set %var to e. g. 0-1 (getting a negative result) and the try to

Missing permissions "Start a phone call"

Richard Pickett · 1 · Last reply by Richard Pickett

Samsung Note 20 Ultra, Android 10, kernel 4.19.81, not rooted.

I'm trying to write a simple task that will send calls to voicemail if the number isn't in my address book.

I've enabled all the permissions on tasker (screenshot attached), but it still says it needs the "Start a phone call" permission when I either activate it or just try "playing" it.

Here's the error when I "play" it: (also screenshot)

18.09.27/E Tasker needs the following permission(s) for the functionality you have configured: Start a phone call 18.09.27/E End Call: don't have permission(s): Start a phone call 18.09.27/E result: stop

Speakerphone action not working on many devices

OnePlus and Pixel devices are also experiencing this issue.

Send SMS option Store In Messaging App is unchecked, but the SMS still shows up in messaging app

bucky · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

I have a basic profile for replying location:

    Look at received texts

-> Get Location v2 (Enable location if needed)

-> Send SMS (send to %smsrf; message is map url; Store in messaging app is unchecked)

The sent sms still shows up in the default messages app (Google Messages).  Does the same thing on a Pixel and Pixel 3.

Are there any suggestions as to how to stop the sent message from showing up in the messaging app?

Screen Capture Action allways ask permission on Xiaomi MIUI 11

Green Bet · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

    Hello.

Actually, my device is an Xiaomi Redmi 8 Miui 11 (Android 9). When I use "Screen Capture Action", or "AutoInput Screen capture" in a task, allways ask permission to initiate the record, so I can't automate screen capture because of user interaction is needed. In my previous device (Moto G3rd android 6.0.1)  theese actions works fine.

Could you told me how I can solve it?

I've attached screen capture showing the message. Sorry, it is in spanish.

    Thanks in advance.

    Has %INTERRUPT changed its format?

Gary Lane · 2 · Last reply by Gary Lane

I ahd a profile which looked at the state of %INTERRUPT before changing it so that it could be restored later.  It stopped working recently (not sure when).  However where %interrupt used to one of the values:

    1. all
    2. alarms
    3. none
    4. priority

It appears now to return a numeric value?  Any idea what these are, when and how the change happened and whether we can rely on the new values in profiles or tasks?

There is no need to run the task to get the error message. Lines three to five actualy work fine, you just get an error message every time you edit the task.

Tasker crashes if Get voice doesnt recognize speech

Ray Gllisse · 2 · Last reply by Ray Gllisse

If there's no answer when a get voice action is launched, Tasker crashes instead of continuing to next action.

That's important to me, as I'd like to use voice control to acknowledge being alive and safe in mountain, and if not, I might not be able to answer, the lack of answer repeatedly 3 times would be the signal to send sms to rescue team.

It can work only if get voice action doesnt make Tasker crash in case of lack of answer

    Thanks for your help
