Open with Tags OR Tasker
I get a nag screen when trying to automate an action - can I get rid of this? Trying to open frunk Tesla - also be great if can do this whilst screen locked - P30 Pro. Thanks

Unfortunately apps can't use NFC when the screen is locked, sorry! Android restrictions!
About your issue, did you try setting up a profile with the NFC event? Does it prompt you to format the NFC tag there?

OK understood on the locked screen thing. The NFC event profile is fine but it does say it can't format it, it says it can still read it though and create an event based on its code. If I click on tasker when it reads the tag, it runs the script fine and opens the car frunk. The issue is it asks me to open tasker rather than opening automatically. Thanks for you help.
Yeah, unfortunately it seems like some NFC cards will always do that. Maybe try disabling the other app in your system settings so that it doesn't show up as an option?
