How can I get a response here? Joao, I thought you provide support for your apps? Maybe I need to get a refund as it's unusable to me in this state.
Hi Joao, I understand for the delay. To answer your question, yes all of the profiles are enabled when I open Tasker. Also I have tried all of the suggestions on both the pages to no avail:
https://tasker.joaoapps.com/userguide/en/faqs/faq-problem.html#00
https://dontkillmyapp.com/?app=Tasker
Everything worked fine on my Samsung S8. Is there something I can send you too help diagnose the issue further?
Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for continuing to look into this. There's 2 different profiles, @home_night and @default. Whenever the screen turns off after a short while, when one the other profiles is active like @home or @work, the @default profile will become active for some reason. As soon as I turn on the screen or unlock the phone, then the @home or @work profile will again be active. Something is happening with when Tasker unexpectedlyhe display turns off or phone locks which wasn't an issue on my Samsung S8.
In the Huawei setting I have the WiFi set to stay connected when the display turns off and I can't really see any other options for location permissions other than the ones that are already granted to Tasker.
Are there any logs that may help diagnose the cause of the error?
I think it may finally be working. I received an OS update to EMUI 10 the other day and one of the things I noticed was that the Location icon is enabled in the pull down menu. Perhaps I did not have this enabled before...didn't realize that it was even in that pull down menu. So I think the issue was that Location was not actually enabled on the phone.
Thanks for your support!
