Check for new update for imported Taskernet projects

    Moshe Siani · 0 · Posted

I saw there was a post about it already but i thought to give it a try.

    https://tasker.helprace.com/i1756-auto-update-feature

I have found out that technically everyone can do it themself by saving the date of the imported project using the api taskernet link and just to compare it with the current date inside the json data.

    https://taskernet.com/_ah/api/datashare/v1/shares/$user/$project?a=0

So how about doing something like this but built in within Tasker with every imported project?

I would also recommend having the option to control the check for new update time and excludes projects from the checkup that the user doesn't want to update.

    Native MQTT support

Spiregarden · 3 · Last reply by David White

MQTT would be the most logical way of Tasker to integrate to a home automation or vehicle.

Current 3rd party plugins have various problems:

    - "Join" requires Google Play framework

    - "MQTT Client" by Webneurons is no longer maintained and it contains a google ad tracker

    - "Node Red integration" requires Node Red, and feels unnecessary

For me, native MQTT support would be the most important feature of Tasker. If I'm not alone here, I'd be happy to take part (via Patreon) in covering the expenses of developing the native support.

    Name tag for Tasker licenses

    Moshe Siani · 0 · Posted

Having more than one Tasker license makes it more difficult to know which license belong to which device. That is why i am suggesting to have the option in https://taskernet.com/?licenses to add a name/Name tag to each license so it would be no brainer to know which one belongs to which device.

Join from Tasker for Android TV devices

Would be great to have Join app available on the Android TV devices. TV usually always powered on and can be used as a hub to control other home devices remotely.

    undo button

An undo button would be really helpful to revert any changes to tasks (such as accidental reordering)

    Fingerprint sensor event

    Lssong99 · 7 · Last reply by Andy

Add a fingerprint event so Tasker can respond to fingerprint scanner from any screen.

This will enable things like turning off screen with fingerprint sensor, as well as execute any task with a touch of finger.

Better have options to respond only to registered finger, as well as gestures (fingerprint swipt down... Etc.)

Support for Tasker on Android TV.

    - Download / Update via PlayStore

    - Opening without Sideload Launcher

    - DPI adjustments, so the top bar with burger menu isn't cut off on some devices

    - Bonus: usability with tv remote

    - Bonus: ability to recognize / simulate tv specific keys like input or netflix
