With newest update of tasker the app suddenly decides that my Trial period has ended although I have bought

See title. I see that in other issues that something in the detection has changed. Well, apparently it's not working. Revert it.

PS

Sadly, I seem to have lost 99.99% or my tasks.

A restore did not bring them back. :-(

PS

Where are the task stored please?
I might have a backup from MyPhoneExplorer.

PS

That 33 version seems to have cured the trial message.
Sadly I now have to recreate a bunch of tasks again.

Note to self. Backup after creating new tasks. :-(

Now getting the Trial message with Autotools ?

PS

I am getting that trial message now myself.
Will try the version 33? that you supplied a link for.

Yes please try that version. Thanks

The check doesn't help. There are still cracked versions out there which works fine on my device for months now. All the check to Google API does is annoy users that have payed for the app. It does not prevent unlicensed installs.

I don't know what you did in the newest versions. The check was introduced years ago already, but it worked fine with microG. You changed something recently which broke it. I just asked to go back to the previous state, which worked fine for me.

The previous versions simply made the app unlocked if Google Play Store wasn't available. That's what I fixed :/ It worked for you because it was buggy.

I changed how it checks now though. Can you please try this version? It checks once and then stops checking if the first check is OK: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1YGuMAWRfyYlUKMdgb4xyVEUfddWz_zzI&usp=drive_fs

I'm using microG and I know what you gonna tell me, I've read it in another issues here. Just let me tell you what you doing is bad. There will always be people not paying for your software. The things you put in though are just hurting those who actually paid for it. The others will just crack/remove it. I'm considering do so to use it a cracked version further on to be able to use a software that I have already paid for. Just reconsider what you are doing.

But what exactly would you recommend doing in this case? I can't simply remove the license checks because then any APK could be used by anyone, without the need to hunt down cracked versions.

Do you have the Google Play Store active on your device with your account signed in?

I have a wifi Samsung Tab E 10, which I use in my car for local music.  I have Tasker turn the wifi off after it's been parked for a half hour, to conserve battery life.  Is this why I'm getting messages that my trial is over, even though I paid for it?
