Can't get past the initial "Data Access and Collection in Tasker" screen
Just purchased tasker for my old Samsung Galagy Note 10.1 tablet on Android version 5.1.1
Installed fine, but after launching, I can not find a way to get past the initial Data Access screen. There are no buttons anywhere to move forward.
Application manager shows it to be version 6.2.22
Any help appreciated

Child app profile events not working
I am trying to create a child app that will do some action on event but found that while it works in Tasker, exporting and installing it as a child app doesn't.
I am on a Samsung Galaxy S24.
See sample Tasker project below. It is supposed to flash a message when we enter/exit chrome, or if we cover/uncover the light sensor.
Project: TA-Test

AutoInput error 1313911465 timeout
Hello, I believe I've encountered a bug in either Tasker or AutoInput.
If the AutoInput UI Query action times out and Continue Task After Error is ticked, each subsequent AutoInput action will timeout after either 4000ms or 5000ms with Error 1313911465 Action timed out, even if the subsequent action has a higher timeout or no timeout at all.
This bug can easily be reproduced with two actions:
The action timeout values are arbitrary, and the bug still occurs with a wait between the actions. This bug occurs not only with UI Query but also Action and Gesture but not Actions

Home Assistant returns 'Message malformed' when trying to set up a Tasker HTTP request
After following the directions here I get the following error message in Home Assistant when setting up a Tasker HTTP request blueprint: Message malformed: Entity target_devices is neither a valid entity ID nor a valid UUID for dictionary value @ data['entity_id']
I'm running Home Assistant Core 2024.8.3 Frontend 20240809.0 as a Docker container.

Tasker must be restarted to get new Material You Colors
If the system Material You colors are changed (ie. wallpaper is changed), the Tasker theme doesn't reflect the change and keeps the previous theme. This applies also to the "Get Material You Colors" action, it'll get the previously used colors and not the new ones.
Force closing and reopening Tasker allows it use the new colors, until the wallpaper is changed again.

Pick photos action returns with uri that isn't useable when using send intent
In short, using Pick Photo action returns with the images URI path but when trying to use it in send intent for example it fails. To fix that you need to get the full path using SQL Query like here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/1enzuix/how_to_copy_filesmedia_from_your_android_phone_to/
The example is shown below the title: "Pick Photos/Media dialog".
Can you maybe have another variable/array inside the Pick Photos action that will hold the full path.

&SCREENON& on Autowear with Wear OS 5.1
Hi.
The event &SCREENON& is no more sent to Autowear with Wear OS 5.1 but is sent when we move back to the watch homescreen from a tile, from the quick settings panel or from the notification panel.
&SCREENOFF& is still OK.

Autonotification categories being ignored with Samsung One UI 7.0
I have a task set up to look for alarm when specific notification categories are received. After updating to the Samsung One UI 7.0, it appears to no longer check for this and instead alarms on any notification matching the criteria, regardless of the specified Notification Category Name.

Leaving an SSID does not start the WireGuard tunnel
Hello folks,
I bought Tasker mainly for one thing: to stop/start a WireGuard tunnel when in/out of a specific WiFi SSID, respectively. Quite a straightforward mission.
So I have two profiles: One for being inside the SSID (Wifi Connected, with the SSID name), linked to a TunnelDown task
and one for being outside that SSID (Wifi Connected, same SSID name, "invert"), linked to a TunnelUp task:
When going into the SSID, the task takes place correctly and the tunnel is brought down. However when leaving the SSID, the opposite task is not performed, and the tunnel remains down.

Tasker doesnt randomly select image
I set up tasker so every 4 minuted it chooses a random folder from a specific director and then randomly chooses an image from that folder and sends it to klwp to set it up as wallpaper. But i noticed that some images get selected waaaaay to often. This should be random but from a folder that contains 1000 images i got 1 image twice already in the last hours. Yesterday i even got an image twice in 8 minutes from a folder that has almost 1500 images in it.
I start to think that tasker doesnt look at all

[BUG] Tasker inserted calendar event with 'all day' tag can't be found with "test app -> Calendar..." actions
Calendar insert: All day: true Title: SomeEvent

expected: returns event "SomeEvent"
got: returns events created manually via google calendar app.

Cancel import from URL link
When you click on an URL link to import items in to Tasker, if you choose to cancel by choosing the back button on the navigation bar instead of touching No on the screen, a toast notification pops up saying "Imported". I think the default action when choosing to use the back button should be to cancel unless the user explicitly chooses yes.

Variable Project Placemnet
Hi Joao
I have a project that uses Autoremote to poll information from my other devices. Whilst half of the variables (The manually named ones) show under the projects "vars" tab, the other half of my variables are named and created based on the info that the project polls from my other devices. These dynamically named variables do not show under the projects "vars" tab but instead under the "base/default" projects "var" tab. The only difference with these variables is the name of the variable being created from the info that Autoremote polls. All profiles/tasks are under my

Getting the error

Notification can't be updated because no notification with the same ID (1) exists
The profiles and tasks were working flawlessly for the last year, notifications can still be created but I can't update them anymore it seems.

Cannot prevent services from accessing network
I'm on a limited bandwidth wifi connection. Every day around 1PM Google Play Services gets online and uses 3Mb for about 10 minutes, which severely degrades the internet for all other clients.
I set up a task & profile to prevent Play (the app) from accessing the network during the day. That didn't work - looks like Play (the service) is the real culprit. But, there's no way (it seems) to prevent a service from accessing it.
So, then I set up a rule to deny all network access between certain hours (really it needs a location in the profile
