Allow the theming of sliders and other scene elements
in particular the slider handle and the actual line the handle slides along
-
Add the ability to create custom animations for the showing and hiding of scenes and or elements, similar to the complex animation feature of KLWP
Please create a way of incorporating animations into tasker scenes

Several feature requests
1. Remotely executing shell commands or even tasker tasks over internet. Now adb WiFi helps us execute remote shell commands over WiFi only on the same network devices. If the device is in another network, it won't work. We can't use IP as communication as most phones gets dynamic public IP. So if we want to execute remote tasks or shell commands to another device's tasker over the internet, we may need some kind of account authentication or key authentication.
2. Still now we have to create scenes with fixed dimensions. Which is fine for device with same resolution. But

manually set cameraID
Is there anyway to manually set the cameraID when taking a picture instead of just front/back? it would be useful to be able to use secundary cameras like the infrared camera.
thanks!

Customization of Monitor Notification
Looks like it has been put forward already: 1. Can the text in Tasker's notification be customized? 2. Customisable profile banner in notification area I just wanted to ensure its usage and profits are recognized.
Customize the permanent monitor notification though actions. So that users would be able to design a more personalized one, like CPU info, network speed or so.
Yes, the effects it bring will not be of importance for Tasker users (since it doesn't matter if notify another permanent notification for them), but benefit the generated apps' developers and users (since it feels weird if a standalone app posts two permanent

App Creation: Default Icons
Currently, icon of Tasker-generated apps is defined by the icon of the profile.
But an modern Android app is supposed to have more: different icons in different shapes, default icon in quick settings when it haven't been added, and maybe so on.
That's it.

Option in Posting Permanent Notification: "Keep Service in foreground"
Service of Tasker-generated App will not function as expected (being killed) when the memory gets low in my device. Enabling "Run In Foreground" option by running "Set Tasker Pref" action do have an effect on solving it. 🙂
But my problem, is that the service of my App originally posts a permanent notification which shows its state and is able to receive some actions designed by myself. Having the option enabled makes duplicate notifications. Quite weird I felt. 🤔
The solution I came up with is adding an option which makes it possible to keep monitor service running in foreground

Planned
Task: Selected apps
There is a List Apps task that already exists, however it returns ALL of the apps installed on your device.
What I wish to have is a task where I can select apps manually, and let the task return those selected apps and store them in an array by package name, app name and icon. Similar to App Info task's return value but in an array.
Why?
After the release of 5.9.2 beta, we now have the new feature called ADB WIFI, where we can run some root commands, my particular use for this is the app killing adb command,
with this

Remove touch highlight when touching scene element (like an image)
Since the highlight follows the tasker accent, maybe adding a transparent highlight would allow it to be invisible? Or adding a dedicated option would be great.

Add NFC Tag Locking.
Other NFC tools for android have the capability of locking a tag - so it is not writable anymore.

Table like format in text file
https://github.com/thedathoudarya/WAGU-data-in-table-view
Stumbled upon a task to create table like format in text. Doing the same in ms word or google docs will be a PITA.
Thanks a ton in advance. Hopefully someone intelligent will be able to do the same as done in the link above.

add tutorial for most obvious wifi@home task
There is a very good project at https://www.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/6re2v3/the_last_wifi_automation_profile_youll_ever_need/ and I recommend adding this as an entry tutorial for beginners.
I think turning wifi on at home is the one task which has the most benefit for most users.
And a tutorial like this will serve as an example to get users into tasker much easier than explaining things from a programmer's perspective.

Create text image and buffer for use in notification
There was an app that showed internet traffic by the notification icon and it would also be nice to make animated notifications with the images using image by image.
-
Use regular expressions to define profiles
When I define a profile I can use matches (eg * + ! /) But I find that very limited.
Example:
Profile> State> Net> WiFi Near:
SSID: Famil+ [...] (But I would like to use it like this) SSID: Famil(y|iar)
So I can filter much better than using matches. And you can change this search/filter pattern in the profile itself or in preferences.

Linux based Tasker IDE
Would be great to be able to write code for task on Linux using simple text editors like Geany or the like. Sometimes it can be somewhat hindering to use the phone only especially if the phone is small.

New movement controls for projects/groups at the bottom of tasker
Currently, it is quite tedious creating a new project and moving it to where you want it to be if you already have several projects created. Everytime you hold in on the project and move it left, or right, it only moves one time and you have to repeat till you get the project where you want it with other projects. Would be sweet if you could hold and drag them where you want them, or have a move button that had a constant "left" and "right" button with a check mark next to them to move them where you

Have a widget that can toggle tasker on or off and tell you if tasker is disabled
Sometimes I disable tasker for short times in order to hide scenes or do other things to keep tasker from changing certain profiles. I unintentionally then forget that tasker is disabled and wonder why nothing is updating or working only to remember that I disabled tasker. Would be great if tasker had a built in widget that would allow you to toggle tasker on and off and that told you the current status of tasker at any given moment.
