Create and interact with widgets within tasker

Tommy Sebestyen · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

What I'm thinking of here is to have an action that allows tasker to create a widget inside itself and to choose a position on the widget to tap.  This way apps that have widgets but no other integrations can be easily interacted with without needing to understand intents.

    Fingerprint sensor event

    Lssong99 · 7 · Last reply by Andy

Add a fingerprint event so Tasker can respond to fingerprint scanner from any screen.

This will enable things like turning off screen with fingerprint sensor, as well as execute any task with a touch of finger.

Better have options to respond only to registered finger, as well as gestures (fingerprint swipt down... Etc.)

    Ability to perform unnamed tasks

    JasonYate · 0 · Posted

Each element of a scene can be configured independent tasks according to the user's interaction with that element but that cannot be executed outside of that interface, exporting the scene I find that each action of those elements has a unique id (task####), so I wondered if this would be possible to add in some update, it is practical and necessary.

    Thank you!

    Ask permission when required

    JasonYate · 0 · Posted

Actions that do not have a permission should request it before executing or at least have the option to enable or disable the request and not just show an error in notifications.

    Thanks 👍

Allow exporting Task/Project as app with additional files

Mishaal Rahman · 3 · Last reply by GlitchYou

Being able to create apps within Tasker is probably its neatest feature, but there's one rather annoying caveat: there's no option to export with additional files!

You have to use convoluted workarounds such as this: Reddit

There's also an app that helps you do it but it has file size limitations. Play Store

Inject apps into the "Full Screen Apps" section in the Display options

    Andrew · 0 · Posted

If the "Full screen apps'  in the the display options is there that mean full immersive mode  is supported, is it possible to "Inject any(all) apps into this list using Tasker?

For me full immersive mode is the "The Holy Grail".

    keep up the awesome work!!!!

    Undo button

Productivity · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

Hey there! It’d be awesome to have an ‘undo’ button for changes. Sometimes you make moves in task steps that you need to undo, but only for a specific action—kind of like a Ctrl+Z. Because let’s face it, just quitting the task or hitting cancel doesn’t always cut it for what you need 🤓👍

Scene menu element position by index

    StaffanT · 0 · Posted

It would be nice to be able to position/scroll a menu element at/to a certain point based on the row index. Thanks in advance ☺️

    Scene layouts

John Doe · 8 · Last reply by Tom Bruno

Creating a scene for several device is just a pain, the activity layout should scale according the screen size of target device, it shouldn't use any absolute layout or fixed aspect ratio.

Scenes can be used as WIDGETS on the Homescreen

Tasker Pro · 8 · Last reply by David Spivey

This is something that has been sorely missing from Tasker for sooo long. The ability for a Tasker Scene to be placed as an anchorable widget on the homescreen.

This eliminates the need for work-arounds like using Zooper or KLWP, etc. It'll probably involve developing a whole new widget for Tasker but it'll be worth it. If anyone can figure it out - it's you Joao!!
