Proximity sensor detection not working on xz2 compact.
Profile says proximity sensor is always active, even when its not.
Is it the same issue/bug as on S10+? (there was another solved question with the same issue.)
The only thing I can think of is to check the log and see if the profile fires on then off after I make a call. I'll try after work and report back.
So after using the update issue still persists. After using the profile for about a day issue pops up again but slightly in a different way. Before the update I would have to boot to safe mode to reset issue with the proximity. Now when it happens it resets itself when the screen goes off, but once I place something in front of proximity sensor and remove it tasker still sees it as obstructed. When using the phone to make calls the sensor works as it should when near my face.
Does it update the correct state in Tasker when you're in a phone call?

I think tasker is what's causing the sensor to not respond correctly. And the app I'm using to see if proximity sensor is working is showing that it's covered when it is not. While the app isn't saying what caused the sensor to stop working correctly it is just confirming that it isn't. The sensor works fine after booting to safe mode then back and stays that way until I activate the tasker profile using the sensor, then after a short period of time the sensor goes haywire. Leading me to believe that if all works fine them goes bad after using tasker that tasker may be the issue. Plus after seeing a couple threads here also confirms my assumption that it may be a tasker related issue across multiple devices.

I tried changing something in this version that might help with that.
This happens to my pixel 2xl as well. A temporary fix is to boot into safemode then boot regularly. At least this works for my phone. When I use a sensor check app it shows that it's not working. Ib beginning to think it's a tasker issue because it's happening to different phones.
