android 12 wifi control not working with tasker settings 1.3 or 1.4

I used to use tasker together with tasker settings 1.3 to control Wi-Fi on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 with android 11.

This worked until last weekend, when my phone got an update to android 12 by xiaomi.

I then updated  to tasker settings 1.4 from github, which seems to be the latest revision but still Wi-Fi control doesn't work anymore.

Is there something I am missing here?

I'm having this issues to using Android 14 hyperos, it keeps prompting "allow tasker settings turn wifi on or off?", Bluetooth having the same issue, I need to manually confirm to turn it off

Tasker doesn't show that prompt, the system does. Unfortunately I can't change that, sorry!

I understand that that pop-up is not from tasker, but it seems to be triggered by tasker or "tasker settings". When I manually enable or disable Wi-Fi, I do not get this dialog.
Unfortunately, I cannot find a way to allow it to always automatically enable it.

How does "tasker settings" interact with tasker?
Is it invoked automatically, or do I possibly have to tell tasker to use it?

Tasker Settings is automatically invoked by Tasker. It's Tasker Settings that tries to toggle Wifi.

Unfortunately I have no way to control that popup though. It's really a setting somewhere on your phone that you have to toggle to allow Tasker Settings to toggle wifi without that popup appearing...

If I try to run my task manually, I get a pop-up to allow Wi-Fi toggling manually, but there is no option to store it permanently.

Hi. That's a setting somewhere in your device's system settings that you have to change. Tasker itself doesn't show that popup.
If you can find the system setting that disables that popup, it should work correctly! :)

Hope this helps!

Hi. Do you get an error when trying to use it? Does it show an error message? Thanks

I've got the same problem since a few months.

Maybe tasker settings needs permissions to change wifi connectivity.

Someone already suggested it, on you github I think.
