Can you please export your profile's description (not xml) so I can take a look? Long-click the profile in Tasker->export description Thanks in advance

Maybe location is off on your phone or Tasker doesn't have location permissions or the network is not called "guest"?

Hi there, I'm having the same issue on a Pixel 4a 5G running Android 11. I have a few profiles that are supposed to only trigger when connected to WiFi but they trigger even when not connected. These profiles had been working fine for months on end and I haven't really changed anything in my system since then.

As far as I know the API level issue pertains to turning WiFi on and off - not reading "WiFi connected" state?

Location is on, of course, and Tasker has permission to use location.

Example profile:

    Profile: Power + WiFi
    Settings: Restore: no
    State: Power [ Source:Any ]
State: Wifi Connected [ SSID:* MAC:* IP:* Active:Any ]

    Enter Task: sync

    A1: Launch App [
         Package/App Name: Syncthing ]

    Exit Task: kill syncthing

    A1: Kill App [
         App: Syncthing
         Use Root: On ]

So, to clarify, you mean that the profile triggers for you even if not connected to any wifi? Maybe you connect to a wifi network sometimes momentarily without realizing?

Thanks for the quick reply. Up until just now (this has been happening for weeks), the profile would activate even with WiFi off and no known networks within range, such as when I got in my car and connected the phone to a charger.

However: I don't know what has happened, but as of right now Tasker is no longer triggering this profile when I connect my charger. I haven't changed anything other than giving the profile a name (it was unnamed before) so that I could export the description for my initial post. It seems your attention to this issue is magical and may have solved it :D

Haha nice 😅 I love when stuff just fixes itself!
