SMS rule does not trigger

Pixel 3 Android 11

Used to work.  Do I need to set some new permissions?

I rebooted the phone and it started working again.  I made no changes other than rebooting.  Thank you so much for working with me to resolve this issue.

Great! :) Glad it works!

Cannot get anything to fire

Can you please export your profile's description (not xml) so I can take a look? Long-click the profile in Tasker->export description Thanks in advance

RK

Using the Android "Messages" app I sent myself the text "detected".  The send button contained the text "SMS".  The rule didn't fire.

What if you remove the filter altogether from the condition just to test it out?

RK

The text comes from Samsung SmartThings.  Here you can see that it's an SMS

What if you send yourself an SMS (also making sure you're not sending an RCS)? Does that also not work?

You don't. Maybe you're receiving an RCS instead of an SMS?
