Name anonymous tasks from task edit screen

When using the run log a long press on a anonymous task will bring you to the task edit page However the is no way to be able to find linked profiles or locate this task except with the run log. Having the ability to name the task from within the task edit screen would solve this.

In addition, when editing a task from a scene element the only current way to name that task is to copy all actions and paste them into a new named task. This would make naming a scene element anonymous task much easier as well.

A simple option to name the task in the overflow menu would be huge help.

The comment Rich D made is the perfect description of the issue. Renaming a task within the task edit screen, there is no problem, just anonymous tasks.

Whenever I name an anonymous task this way, the task always goes to the "base" project instead of the project I'm currently working on.

Am I the only one with this issue?

Do you mean that it's moved after the rename?

RD

I can confirm this. To replicate the issue, start in any other projects tab other than the home/base project tab. Create a profile with an anonymous task, from within the task edit screen for that anonymous task change the name of the task. Now if you go to the task tab for that project,  your newly named task will not be there (which would be expected behavior). It will be located in the home/base project tab.

If you use one of the original options for naming an anonymous task it will end up in the same project as expected. For example if you long press on an anonymous task for a profile there is an option in the menu to name the task. When using that method the task is then placed within the task tab of that project.

The same issue can be seen when renaming an anonymous task from within the task  that is linked to a scene element as well.

Thanks, Rich..

Ok, added. :) Can you please try this version? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UfMEt1H6wjlMDdsqByn-flCRqE45PdJ1/view?usp=sharing

That's great. Gave it a few tests and the only issue I found was if I entered a existing task name or no task name it gave the proper flash error 'Name already exists ' / 'Please Enter A Name" However it closes the text box. With the regular naming text box the text box stays in the foreground to alert you that you have done something wrong as well as flashes the error.

Additionally I was hoping to get the same option in the scene element edit page for a linked element task for example  the  'tap'  or 'long tap' tabs.

Thank you very much for the speedy implementation....

Thanks Joao! I will also be trying this.
And Rich D, thanks again! ;)
