Tasker working folder to SD insteady of inside system - XML editing and other boosts
Is it possible to have an option for managing the projects from the files (windows or Android files explorer) rather than from the tasker UI (by dragging and droping them in limite way)?
If you have to move many files or manage many projects, having the oportunity of handling files in a folder estructure, it would be much faster.
Now, the files are in the system folder and they are only rooted-reachable, if they are not a database, they may be present inside the root folder as they are in the export folders--- Some XML files in their assigned folder and that it.
Do you think it would be possible to add an option to have the tasker working XML files as files of an internal SD or external SD folder (out of root uneditable folder) - like whatsapp has DB, backups, and images in the SD and only has APK inside the phone?
Pros to feature:
- Ability of having tasker working on a similar estructure as in the export files but with non-root visible files - like an unzipped chrome extension, a chromeuser file for Mozilla Firefox or an HTML based local website estructure.
- Exporting/importing files would not be needed - They would be readily available for copy or to paste. (after pasting some, kill tasker, reopen and it should recognize the new files) - easy as a piece of cake.
- Ability to sync the "visible" folder to dropbox with apps like "dropsync" - keep your dear profiles if some b'st'rd steals your phone. - Now, the root folder is outside the reach of non-root apps.
- Rapid creation of similar tasks - ¿you need to create the same task for similar actions with minor tweaks? Copy and paste the same files, change names, regex the hell out of it with notepad++ and there you go. IE I needed to create the same files for some letters and numbers and it took a lot of hassle of exporting and importing etc. With visible folder it would have taken less time.
