Pixel 2 - Alarm clock icon showing in taskbar after update to v5.7
I first reported this in the Tasker Google Groups (including screenshot examples):
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/tasker/9wIsrQqX2A0
Summary:
I've been a long-time Tasker user, and the recent update has resulted in strange behavior.
I have two profiles I use to automatically control my volume settings while at the office. They activate when in range of the office WiFi during business hours, and during meetings. After the 5.7 update, both of these profiles show the alarm clock icon in the status bar, even though there is no alarm set. When I disable both of the profiles, the alarm clock icon goes away.
After troubleshooting, I was able to determine which contexts are causing this.
The alarm icon appears when an enabled profile has either a date or a time context. It doesn't matter if it is for a specific day (even in the past) or a span of days, nor does it matter if it is a single time (every hour for example) or span of time.
If any date or time context exists in the profile, the alarm icon appears.
I have been using the same Tasker profiles for many years, and this issue has started occurring only after the latest update. Because of this, I don't believe it is a settings issue.
I'm using a Google Pixel 2 running Android 9 with the April 5th 2019 security patch, and another user in the forum stated that they do not see this issue on their Samsung S9.
