Would be great if tasker had the ability to launch apps in pop up view. Not sure if it would be possible but I do know that there is a "multi window" edge pannel for Samsung that can do this. Would be an extremely helpful feature for certain situations.

I'm not exactly sure João. Here is what looks to be the link for the panel itself in the Galaxy store: Multi Window Edge Panel. However, inside the settings for this app there is a option to click "More apps for edge panel" which then takes you to this app in the Google play store: My Calendar For Edge Panel.
If you look at the developer apps related to the app in the play store you will see there are a lot of different edge panels to purchase, EXCEPT the multi window edge panel. It seems to only be on the Galaxy store.
Hopefully it can be done on stock Android as well. Im not sure exactly how this works but hopefully there's a way to implement it into tasker. Tons of possibilities!

+1 for this feature request. I can do it on Samsung phones and saw it done on Xiaomi phons. Thank you.
Do you happen to have access to the logcat on that device? Maybe that could show what the intent for that is....
I'm not sure. Have never tried. I can try and find a way to pull it up but even at that I still probably would have a hard time figuring out exactly what the intent is for that action. I know I can do it with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Can't remember if it was also available on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge I would have to go back and look.
