%DEVTID stopped working in v5.5

Does not work on Moto E4 or Samsung S8+
%DEVID returns NQ... correct value
%DEVMOD returns SM-G955U
%DEVTID returns %DEVTID

same behavior in v5.6
I don't know how far before v5.5 this stopped working

You are absolutely correct. Reinstalled Tasker under 7.1.1 Nougat, and did not see where it asked for phone permission. This fixed it for me 100%.

Android settings -> Apps -> Tasker -> Permissions -> Phone ON

%DEVTID still works for me... Did you give Tasker phone permissions? It needs it for that particular variable.
