It's wonderful idea 💡 i hope to add to feature to do it with more apps

Yes, I would like to use this too to retrieve a Glympse url. Would be useful also for that!
(and having more Extra fields, possibly)

João, prime example are VPN (Arne Schwab's) clients. Without this, their AIDL method allows wildcard applications to control them. With this, it can ID itself to Tasker and filter on Tasker controlling it.

I've been longing this for a long time! Tasker don't have an action to let users choose file.

@joao example is already in op. We want to pick a directory. It's not possible to do with AutoShare too.

AA

following send intent also don't return anything in AutoShare

action: android.intent.action.GET_CONTENT

cat: android.intent.category.OPENABLE

mimeType: */*

extra boolean: android.intent.extra.ALLOW_MULTIPLE

I really need this action, I'm upset just to know that several other automation apps already have this option and Tasker not yet.

Can you please give me an example that you would this with?

Would be a very useful feature to work with!

What I so much want is that in what version they will put this action
