Disabling Do Not Disturb (DND) also disables Tasker mode

I'm using Tasker to achieve two things right now:

  1. Enable Always On Display only when my phone's charging
  2. Enable DND when I turn off Bluetooth, and disable it when I turn on Bluetooth

I noticed that when I turned on Bluetooth, both DND and Tasker mode that controlled AOD would be disabled together, and as a result AOD would be enabled even if my phone was not charging.

To reproduce this issue:

  1. Create task Disable AOD: Set Device Effects -> Disable Always On Display
  2. Create task Enable DND: Do Not Disturb -> Mode Priority
  3. Create task Disable DND: Do Not Disturb -> Mode Allow All
  4. Enable AOD in global Settings
  5. Run task Disable AOD. Tasker will create and enable Tasker mode, which overrides AOD to off
  6. Run task Enable DND
  7. Run task Disable DND

Device info: Xperia 1 VI, Android 16, Tasker 6.5.11 from Google Play.

Hi. Can you clarify what you mean by "Tasker mode"?

Hi João,

I was referring to the Android Mode created by Tasker.

I uploaded two screenshots here. The first one shows the mode in the list along with others like DND, driving, etc. The second one shows the details of the mode, where it 'Keep[s] the screen dark' atm cos it's not charging.

Ah I see. Unfortunately it's a system limitation as far as I know, sorry :(
