"Error - accessibility not running"

I use Tasker with the AutoInput and AutoApps plugins across several devices to run tasks.
Lately, I've been having actions randomly fail with the error "Accessibility service not running" despite it running quite happily for months prior.
Using an AutoInput Action to click certain coordinates, doesn't not present an error, but the click does not happen.
The permissions are set as they always have been and I have done nothing to change them. It is as if the service just forgets it has been set up.

The only way I have found to fix this has been to clear the cache and data from the AutoInput app and then go into it to reset permissions.

Is there a way to prevent this error from occurring, rather than having to manually fix it afterwards?

You previous sent me this link "https://www.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/sz2kg7/investigation_accessibility_services_getting/" but neither myself or my colleagues have any idea what this means....

This is a paid for service that keeps breaking, can you actually explain how I can prevent it, in terms that we could understand?

Hi! Ok, I've actually tried to work around this in the latest Tasker beta. Hopefully it works to some degree! :)

Would you be able to try it out?

Hi ,

Thank you for this, sorry it's taken me so long to get around to it!

I have got the Beta version of the app and can see the new "Keep Accessibility Running" button and have watched your video demo which looks great!

However, when I click the button, it says I am missing permissions and takes me online to install a Tasker Permissions app. But the only downloads available are for Window, MacOS or Linux - I am trying to do it on an Android phone.

I can see that it is possible because your video demo uses an Android phone.

Please can you tell me how I can activate "Keep Accessibility Running" on an Android phone?

Thanks!

Hi! You really do need to run it on a PC once to enable that specific permissions, sorry :( For now there's no way to enable it just on the phone...
