Auto notification has three different icon options which can't use the same source, tasks have another. There are hundreds of emojis in keyboards now and the ability to use the same icon for a task and notification and notification status bar icon would be simple to use and look nice and consistent.

Ideally both, or all of them. Only local media is supported by all three options within the AN action, status bar icon is the most awkward to set, especially if I don't have my own created catalogue.
Using emojis or text would enable a simple consistent style across projects and within tasks. At the moment I could have a project name, profile, task, notification, and status bar all with different text or icons, done can be the same but all the same is not possible. You use emojis in some of your demo projects (eg weather and sunset sunrise you recently added to Tasker net) for the profile and different icon for the task names. Having the same thing everywhere would be nice.
AutoNotification actually already supports emojis :) Simply write an emoji in the manual status bar icon field and it should work!
