Power Any stopped working

Out of nowhere "Power: Any" state change stopped being detected.

Zero clues. Zero messages.

Is there a way to discover the reason ? A Log ?

That Run Log from tasker itself doesn't register anything

I even created the simplest possible task (to beep) when power:any triggers. No deal.

Maybe it was the charger type that changed? I haven't changed the code for that..

Same charger.

Plus, I did not update Tasker. Same version.

Also, double checked for android settings like Acessibility, Draw over, Write settings... Basically, all of them are ON. Re-applied them to make sure

Permissions too. Everything is allowed

My theory is that another app updated itself and started interfering.

To help us on the witch hunt: isn't there a way to debug ? A log ?

Phone is rooted.

With a rooted phone it's really REALLY hard to figure out why stuff like this happens, sorry :( It's usually some add-on or Xposed module that interferes, but there's really no way for me to know...

All I can say is that it's still working on all of my test devices and have had no other complaints from other users.

Yes. Xposed/Magisk make big changes on the system.

I had a module that manages power/charging, but disabling it did not resolve

Will keep digging and report once I find the app responsible for this mess.

As a feature suggestion, if I don't come back, is some sort of debugger or deep logger to help find the source of these issues

L

Found the app that was causing the problem: Tasker

All I had to do was reinstall it (clear data wasn't enough)

Re-activated my charge controlling Magisk module. All is working now. If he was to blame, no longer is.

Glad you got it! :)
