Project Folder List Menu

At this point with so many folks using Tasker for so long - a lot of people have A LOT of Project Folders/Tabs.

It is very difficult to keep scrolling left/right to jump from one Project to another very easily.

A new feature should be added so that when the user long-click on any Project Tab, the first Action (lowest on list below "Set Icon") should be a menu option for "Show Project List".

This would then display a simple vertical list menu of all Projects and one can easily be chosen. There can also be an option for "Sort Order" in the list to sort by "User" or "Alpha" or "Date Added" etc.

Seems to be working good, nice having the option. Great work João!

Great :) Thanks for testing!

Ok, just because it's you, here you go :D

Can you please try this version? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SvQFvAxFwCk-hArfO_6wOH0UlvvMGi0z/view?usp=sharing

Wow, that was quick, working fine for now. Thanks! even though you did it for someone else :/

Is this going to be in an official update?

TP

Just for me? 😀 I fell special today! 😁 And it seems to be working great!!

Now, ahem, regarding a few of my other ideas...😉

Yeah, this will be in the next update :)

agnostic, don't feel sad. This was made for Tasker Pro but it works for you as well! :D

Tasker Pro, geez... Maybe I should delete this from the next release after all! :P

A

joão, yeah, I guess it does, all that crying in the shower yesterday for nothing...

Tasker Pro, what you doing! you gotta play it cool, play it cool, man! You gotta give joão a few weeks rest for all that insanely hectic work! :p

A

Well, there is a bug, if you select project move Left/Right options, the projects list also opens in the front. I tell you, it takes great skill to write such bugs, how do you do it joão? :p

Just seen that same bug, I was cleaning things up, I hit the move left and the list at first popped up, it went away and move left came back after back button

A

Yeah, it's as if these bugs are just deliberate! Or maybe joão didn't learn basic if/else concepts in school, you know there is a great android app called "Tasker" which people can easily use to learn such basic programming skills, maybe try using it sometime (instead of just creating it) Even Bradford was learning if/else concepts today, maybe join him :p

*sorry, i wasn't done before, I sometimes can't stop once I have entered the "zone" :p*

Well in João's defense, it wasn't even a beta, soooo. Going to have to cut him. ....

Nope I didn't forget to finish lol.

A

Lolz, let's just hope he doesn't revert it all back, he has all the power here :p

So? Cut him with a really sharp spoon? Or just a little? Or is this one of those "slack" cuts?

A

I think we have already done the sharp cut part, let's see if it goes bad, if it  does, then we will start cutting slack immediately :p

Geez you guys are grumpy.

Fixed! :P https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SvQFvAxFwCk-hArfO_6wOH0UlvvMGi0z/view?usp=sharing

A

Lolz, it's maybe not all our fault, it's partly because of the "circumstances" :p

Yeah, the bug is fixed. Thanks.

But there might be another one, if you select Left/Right and it shows a "How many positions?" prompt and you press back button instead of OK, it still moves the project. Shouldn't it only move if OK is pressed, or its working as designed?

It's working as designed. Cancelling is just doing it like before there was that option.

A

Yeah, I figured, thanks!
