Stumbled upon a task to create table like format in text. Doing the same in ms word or google docs will be a PITA.

Thanks a ton in advance. Hopefully someone intelligent will be able to do the same as done in the link above. 

There is a very good project at https://www.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/6re2v3/the_last_wifi_automation_profile_youll_ever_need/ and I recommend adding this as an entry tutorial for beginners.

I think turning wifi on at home is the one task which has the most benefit for most users.

And a tutorial like this will serve as an example to get users into tasker much easier than explaining things from a programmer's perspective.

I am new to takser coming from llama.

I searched with google and looked for tasker tutorials but no success.

I could not even find easy examples how to set up some obvious things like switching wifi off at night.

I finally managed to create a profile with a schedule condition which switches wifi off at night but now I want to change the time condition but cannot find a way to do it except creating another profile and deleting the old one.

I also created a profile to switch wifi off when I leave home.

This does not work though, I need to do this to get in response to the site location key but always the error. You couldn't see how to make this work, maybe even using the curl I tested in Termux that worked.

There was an app that showed internet traffic by the notification icon and it would also be nice to make animated notifications with the images using image by image.

When I define a profile I can use matches (eg * + ! /) But I find that very limited.

Example:

Profile> State> Net> WiFi Near:

SSID: Famil+ [...] (But I would like to use it like this) SSID: Famil(y|iar)

So I can filter much better than using matches. And you can change this search/filter pattern in the profile itself or in preferences.

Sometimes I disable tasker for short times in order to hide scenes or do other things to keep tasker from changing certain profiles. I unintentionally then forget that tasker is disabled and wonder why nothing is updating or working only to remember that I disabled tasker. Would be great if tasker had a built in widget that would allow you to toggle tasker on and off and that told you the current status of tasker at any given moment. 

When bluetooth connected to a specific device is active (and shown in the profils tab) the trigger "doesn't launch" the associate task.

If I manually launch the task (by the tasks tab) I confirm that the task is working.

Also I can see the trigger and the task call in the execution log, and the differents actions inside the tasks without any error. But the actions are not actually performed.

I tried different actions (launch app, pop-up notification, ...) with the same results.

I try on another phone (same model, and same configuration) with the same result.

I have a task that looks for a certain word in an SMS message and plays a media sound file. Could not seem to get it to consistently work. I have a Samsung S10+ and phone just got upgraded to Android Q

Autolocation related: autolocation activity triggered and the specific task is performed but it continuely keep performaing the task e.g. i set state autolocation activity driving, then perform task to open google map. but performs well but keep performing it again and again.

A created scene won't appear when the conditions are met. The other tasks in the sequence play just fine, and when I play the sequence manually it appears. I've already tried incompatibility management, all the "how to show" options, and waiting a time before showing it, with no results. I'm using MIUI 11 with no root permissions.

Also, the scene stays greenlighted as if it was running

Tasker has actions for pressing physical buttons and for Long-pressing the Power button , and apparently (but not on my phone with Tasker 5.7.2)) double-tapping the power button and long-pressing the volume control buttons.  What about extra-long pressing the Power button?  On my phone (Droid Turbo 2, Android 7.0), tapping the power button blackens the screen/locks the phone, long-pressing the power button brings up the Power Off screen with only one option, and if you press the power button even longer, the Power Off screen disappears and the phone reboots.  Can this be done without rooting the phone?

Tasker seems to be having some trouble accessing some of calendars on my Google account (but not all of them).

As demonstrated in the attached screencast, the same event, moved from one calendar to a new one I created to test the issue, is either seen or not by the calendar state condition in tasker.

At first I believed it to be caused by the accent in the calendar name ("CongésVieux" in the screencast), but the new calendar created for the test also include the same accent ("Congés").

The problem also appears with events in the Google local holidays calendar

After the update for my Samsung Galaxy S10 to Android 10. The wifi connected variable does not trigger my action eventhough my phone is clearly connected to the specific wifi SSID I've set. Before the update, everthing was working flawlessly.

I have a few different profiles which mostly modify the volume of phone ringer, etc which are triggered by Wifi Near states. For instance, while at home at night or at work, these profiles reduce the volume of the ringer. I also have a "default" profile which has a condition that it activates only if none of the other profiles are active and this default returns volumes to normal and does a few other things. Since using Tasker on my Huawei P30 Pro, I've been noticing that when I'm at home or at work, which means the @home

Is it possible that the detection of (wireless?) charging is slow/unreliable when motion detection setting in preferences is turned on?

I am trying to set this

But to and do math and append are missing. I downloaded the Google play version and all the plugins. Am I missing something ?
