    Add more features on Taskernet

    Ooker . · 1 · Last reply by Flenser

I have some questions on Taskernet:

    • Why is the HTML description only displayed in a box?
    • Why not build it to be a place to discover new projects, where people can vote and comment?
    • Why can't scenes be exported?

Take a look at the similar sharing site for Anki software. It has search function, categories, rating. If you take a look at a particular project (mine for example), you will see that it has votes, comments, description of the author (with no box), and raw data of the project.

2 Small Suggestions for Action "Take Screenshot"

Zohar · 1 · Last reply by SmartPhoneLover

    Hi

My phone's display resolution is 1920x1080. When I use the Take Screenshot action, a .PNG file is created, and its size is 3.1MB.

I would like to suggest 2 small options for the Take Screenshot action:

The first: Resize: will have 2 possible values: 50%, or 25% so choosing "25%" for example, will make the image file's resolution 480x270, instead of the original 1920x1080. this already will decrease the file size by 75%...

The second: File Type: will have 2 possible values: .PNG, or .JPG so choosing .JPG, will further decrease the file size, and choosing .JPG is relevant

    Android auto messaging (support app??)

    Patrick B · 0 · Posted

Android auto has limitations for 3rd party apps. Currently media and messaging are supported, navigation is sparse

What I would like to be able to is retrieve notifications from certain apps and make them visible in Android auto.

I can read them out loud already, but I would like to see them handled as messages.

    For. Instance

A Co worker posts via slack.

    A notification is triggered

This notification is captured within tasker (via autonotification )

Tasker sends it (via support app? ) to trigger a card in Android auto

(alternative route could be to hijack the signature of an

Vars/Variables tab accessible in the Task Edit menu

Andrew Purio · 1 · Last reply by Richard Kemp

It be would awesome if the Vars/Variables tab is accessible in the Task Edit menu (may it be through swiping from the right/left or in any available way). Not only that it would help a lot of users which are fond of using multiple variables inside a task such as myself but it can also help in saving time in creating a complex task by checking the current value of the variables in the task without exiting the menu.

Ability to launch an app in pop up view

    Tyler T · 1 · Last reply by Tyler T

Would be great if tasker had the ability to launch apps in pop up view. Not sure if it would be possible but I do know that there is a "multi window" edge pannel for Samsung that can do this. Would be an extremely helpful feature for certain situations.

Add a way to highlight new actions in the Select Action display

    Jim Becker · 0 · Posted

It's great to have the red badges show the new actions after an update. But they go away after you open them to look at the capabilities.

It would be great to have an option to highlight the new actions based on a user selected version number. It would be most helpful if the user could make that selection as an option in the display.

Audio recording in Wav format (or uncompressed format).

    lux81 · 0 · Posted

I need to record audio in Wav format (or another uncompressed format) without using external apps which can interface with Tasker.

I know we're talking about smartphones and not professional equipment, but for the same device, by recording Wav files with external app plugin, I get a much higher quality sound than Tasker. On the other hand, Tasker offers better control over recordings, file management, and does not require tricks with time delays to make sure the recording is saved.

    More Easy Create Intents

I know that the Send Intent action is for advanced users but because it does not facilitate their creation with a button to show a list of intent patterns used in apps as Android.intent.action. (VIEW | MAIN | GET_CONTENTAND) he data such as date, extras, package, class and improve productivity when creating it is easy to end up forgetting something like that. I know that the plugins that make it easy to work this, to be sincere I think I'm very boring to make the user ending having to install several plugins to use with one or two actions if the

    Terminal Emulator In Tasker

    Bruno Davi · 0 · Posted

Serious optimum if the task had this letter on the sleeve with this clearly the taste of liberty of many limitations when performing more complex actions, I know that has the Run Shell action, but if the task had an emulator similar to the Termless without using any plugin and still to create the APK guard everything and the one. Despite that I know that and a very difficult idea to take this here this idea.

Not able to remove Quick Settings Shortcut

    TM0NEY46 · 0 · Posted

Currently, there is no real way to remove Quick Settings as icons in the quick menu drop-down.  You can temporarily make them not accessible by dragging down the icons, but similarly as the Quick settings menu is always accessible they can be accessed quite quickly by dragging them back to the top. Additionally, I discovered that by holding on any quick setting Tasker icon, Tasker will actually open up. From there Tasker can be disabled quickly which removes the whole reason for the having a specific scene I built for work mode.

I suggest a toggle be added within Tasker

    Run Shell event

    4pda.ru · 0 · Posted

Run Shell event shall be fired when a shell command prints to its standard output (stdout) a line matching a pattern.

    Example:

event Run Shell [ Command: getevent Line:*00000004 Use Root:On ]

The typical usage is to monitor keypresses (via getevent utility) and system log records (via logcat utility).

Note: An implementation should ensure that the line buffering only is performed by an operating system and run time libraries. Any other buffering would make the event meaningless.

Perhaps, a virtual terminal (pty) is the best IPC to be used.

Automagic implements Command Output trigger, see http://automagic4android.com/en/help/components-triggers#trigger_command_output but the triiger may

    Nested state contexts

    4pda.ru · 0 · Posted

Tasker supports grouping of states in profiles from the beginning. The enter task starts when all states become active, the exit task starts when one of the states become inactive.

The notion of nested contexts proposed here changes the behaviour of the exit task only. Namely, contexts in a profile are ordered, there are broad contexts and narrow contexts, the exit task starts if a narrow context becomes inactive while all broad contexts are still active.

For example let's consider simple profile

    profile HomeAtNight

broad state Time from 22:00 to 6:00

        narrow state WIFI Connected HomeAP

            enter task
