I know you can find the right values to make beeps play tune. But I want different instrument What I want to end up doing is have tasker generate a series of tones in a pleasing voice so that instead of meaningless notification sounds, I can let it auto generate a code out of pentatonic notes to tell me what's going on. 

Maybe sampling? Midi? Oh, a point there, I don't want to have it hooked up to a midi instrument, this is for walking around. Perhaps the midi driver for android you mentioned attached to the MIDI Play command.

Hello. Could you please make icons(scene-image/task icon) can use base64/svg<Scalable Vector Graphics>? It is very difficult to find a suitable icon for a task/scene.(And many people don't want to install other icon app.) The personal task icon will not be missing when it is shared.

Recently I have been trying to try and ssh from my android to my linux machines for some basic thing that I do need to manually do everyday and I do not want to use cronjobs as my android do play a certain amount of role in those tasks.

Autotools is using a deprecated authentication format (SSH-RSA) and that would not work on any updated linux machine unless one explicitly weakens the security of that machine (which won't be an issue on a local network but poses high risks when it comes to the ssh over internet) which is not recommended.

I am using tasker on a Chromebook to watch for a file open, then send a page_down keypress event to the foreground (target) app.  It works perfectly...one time.  All subsequent file open events generate correct log entries in tasker.  The file open event is noticed by tasker, and it correctly fires the keyboard input task; however, it does not result in a page_down action in the target app.  If I bring tasker to the foreground momentarily, then the cycle works successfully again one time.  Minimizing and restoring the target app does not work.  Focusing an unrelated app does not work. 

When I show a scene and in that scene there is an action that opens an activity, it is closed

But I found that if I create another sena that calls this action, I can use it correctly, but this could be implemented to avoid creating this scene to make this workaround

Change the behavior of search in Profiles/Actions that by default use match to search (e.g one/or/two)

I would like a way to copy one action and paste only arguments or ifs.

When a specific profile actived and ran the task as the attachment, error code 1 always occurr and prompt the error in the notification.

However, if I manually ran the "error task", no error occurred and couldn't be found the problem.

Idea for extending the new Action Clone. This is in order to create cloned entries anywhere in the task.

The new button could behave differently. As a toggle. If pressed, drag+drop of commands could copy instead of moving them.

Additionally: if more commands are copied, just copy. If one is copied, open it.

But the more I think about it... We can already directly drag, the area is configurable. Maybe a second drag area would make sense, which copies instead moves. 

With the abundance of new options soon to be available for the Flash action, it has become even more obvious that there needs to be some way to provide user specifiable defaults for Action parameters. 

One possible solution would be to expand the Favorite Actions feature so that it would include the saving of Action parameters as part of the Favorite. This feature should be available for all actions. That way the user can save any action as a Favorite along with its default parameters. An action that can be performed inside of a task that will test and return the current media state variables similar to the event trigger "Music track changed". This would allow tasker to be configured to check the media state in the event that tasker detected music playing, was disabled, and then re-enabled but music was no longer playing. Basically a manual check in case of error.

I'm using Tasker on Galaxy Tab S2 (SM-T810) to turn on and off my display regarding my presence.

After it Turn-Off the display the display timout is always set to 1second.

I can't change this value with the task display time out.

I also can't enable the lock options as described here: https://tasker.helprace.com/i514-turn-off-bug-with-android-p because I get an error that this is only available in Android P (9.0).

My tablet uses Android 7.0 nu further updates available.

Bug in Tasker: The Setup Quick Setting action changes to Toggle and Disables Tasker when status is set to Inactive.

I.e. tasker profiles for the autoshareplugin will not trigger. Although there is a popup showing the command and text.

How do I know? Once I installed autoapps sharing to my autoshare commands started working and triggered the profiles and their respective tasks.

Before I activated autoshare by watching an ad (not knowing that I bought Autishate before) and as far as I can tell staying within the limitations of the lite version by only sharing text I.e. the current chrome tabs url.

Why do I share this although it works now for me?

I consider the autoshare lite version broken.

I'm running Android 10 on a Nokia 7.1, with v5.14.6 of Tasker installed.

Starting in the past few weeks, Tasker randomly stops executing tasks.  When this happens, if I don't notice it right away, my battery will deplete *a lot*.  For example, if I don't notice this for a few hours, I could lose 50% or more of battery.  

Rebooting my phone fixes the issue (until it occurs again).  Sometimes this will occur several times a day, sometimes several days will go by without it happening.  I can't find any rhyme or reason as to when/why it happens.

for readability or in unknown input, in Variable Set or Array Set, we often have elements with leading or trailing spaces:

5, 23, 14.745 ,  12

A very common technique we probably have to deal with, at least I do it this way, is to variable split with Regex (\s*,\s*). If array elements have been created with Array Set, we may need to do a Search/Replace of whitespace in the array elements.

IDEA: Let Tasker trim leading and trailing whitespace from array variables on creation and assignment. This should be a global option and initially turned off, for
