Brightness change back when pressing on/off button

Hi

Have a action with brightness level 255. This works flawless and the brightness goes to maximum. When pressing on/off button so screen get black, and turn the screen on again the brightness has changed to what is was before pressing the action. This works om my old Lg g2, but not the Huawei p20. Any tips?

Hi and thanks for reply. Added a screen on event like you suggested. That worked, but thats not what I want it to do. I want the screen to go brighter when starting example an app, and stay at that brightness after pushing lock/unlock button.

Hi

A little update. Uninstalled tasker and added a profile with the app "maps", and display brightness level to 255. Starting "maps" the brightness goes high, pushing power off button and on again and the brightness is low again.

Any suggestions?

Sorry, what do you mean that you uninstalled Tasker and then added a profile? Can you clarify? Thanks

Thanks for reply.

My bad. Uninstalled tasker, and installed tasker again (reinstalled). Added a new profile in tasker with the app "maps". I added display brightness level to 255 in tasks section. The brightness level get low when turning the screen off and on again, even if the "maps" app was running.

Any tips how to keep that brightness level at 255 like it suppose to?

Maybe it's something specific to your device. Can you please create a profile that also sets the brightness when you turn on the screen?

Can you please explain how to create a profile that set brightness when turning on screen? Cant figure that one out.

Create a new profile with the Screen On event > In the task set the brightness :)

Not that I'm aware of. The task and actions works just fine, and the brightness is decreasing to the value that is set in the action. But when i press on/off button to make black screen, it changes back to original brightness when I turn the screen on.

Eks, I set the brightness to the lowest- run a task with 255 brightness- the screen goes bright and the brightness slide go to maximum under display settings- turning screen off- turning it on again after few sec- the screen brightness is at the lowest. All other action in the task works just fine.

Hehe, sorry about that. I use the app "notification shortcuts" and add a shortcut on phone to start that task.

Oh I see. And you don't have a task that changes it to a different value somewhere?

Hi and thanks for reply. I cant see the adaptive brightness on Huawei p20 with Oreo. Dont think I have that option. The automatic brightness is disable under display settings.

Other tips or solutions?

Best regards Morten

Can you please export your profile's description (not xml) so I can take a look? Long-click the profile in Tasker->export description Thanks in advance

Hi. Maybe you have adaptive brightness enabled on your device?
