Call Forward not working after android 14 upgrade

Call forwarding always worked for me until the Android 14 upgrade.   I have a Samsung S22+. 

Now, Tasker launches the phone app, but it doesn't actually dial the number. It just sits there and I have to press dial.  To forward, I'm dialing the Verizon *72 sequence. I verified that I have the auto dial box checked.

Oddly, call Forward End *73 still works.

Hi. Unfortunately other people already reported the same issue and it seems like a Samsung bug. It still works on Android 14 on Pixel devices for example.
