Tasker on WearOS please?
This post is probably not within the scopes of what Tasker should be able to do, but I would be happy if it can happen.
I have AutoWear already and don't get me wrong, it is a great tool. However, versus the average individual who has their phone and watch synced all the time, I am not really into that. I like my device to be self-sufficient. One of the things I liked about AutoWear was it allowed me to deploy somewhat of a miniature routine to the watch in the background. For example, I used the AutoWear (default buttons) to run one of the elements/screens, and have it switch between Silent and Ringing (although I had to do this through Wifi ADB). It's all done through just the watch alone, no waiting on Tasker through the phone. I loved that.
So I attempted to go beyond that. The problem I have AutoWear on the watch is that it does not take in variables nor does it push out variables locally. I can start the Voice screen, and use that variable through ADB Wifi for something else instead of having to wait on Tasker from the phone. So this is somewhat of a two part ask for Joao. Can we have AutoWear read and write variables within the watch? This way I don't have to do some hack that I'm about to describe below.
The next idea was "why not have Tasker run locally as well?" This didn't work probably because it's missing WebView on WearOS. There is an initial screen that seems to take place, and then it'll crash. I am disappointed by this but at the same time refused to take no for an answer. Because AUTOMATE from llamalabs can run on WearOS. WHY NOT TASKER?
