2 Small Suggestions for Action "Take Screenshot"

Zohar · 1 · Last reply by SmartPhoneLover

    Hi

My phone's display resolution is 1920x1080. When I use the Take Screenshot action, a .PNG file is created, and its size is 3.1MB.

I would like to suggest 2 small options for the Take Screenshot action:

The first: Resize: will have 2 possible values: 50%, or 25% so choosing "25%" for example, will make the image file's resolution 480x270, instead of the original 1920x1080. this already will decrease the file size by 75%...

The second: File Type: will have 2 possible values: .PNG, or .JPG so choosing .JPG, will further decrease the file size, and choosing .JPG is relevant

    Android auto messaging (support app??)

    Patrick B · 0 · Posted

Android auto has limitations for 3rd party apps. Currently media and messaging are supported, navigation is sparse

What I would like to be able to is retrieve notifications from certain apps and make them visible in Android auto.

I can read them out loud already, but I would like to see them handled as messages.

    For. Instance

A Co worker posts via slack.

    A notification is triggered

This notification is captured within tasker (via autonotification )

Tasker sends it (via support app? ) to trigger a card in Android auto

(alternative route could be to hijack the signature of an

%CLIP event doesn't work and state doesn't update properly

    wedsa5 · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

Event Variable Set with the variable set to %CLIP never gets triggered

State Variable Value where the condition is %CLIP NEQ %Clip will only fire momentarily when the profile is toggled off, then on again. The task for this profile will set the %Clip variable to %CLIP.

I am using Android Q QPP1.190205.018.B4 and the Tasker Beta 5.7.0-beta.10

Not able to remove Quick Settings Shortcut

    TM0NEY46 · 0 · Posted

Currently, there is no real way to remove Quick Settings as icons in the quick menu drop-down.  You can temporarily make them not accessible by dragging down the icons, but similarly as the Quick settings menu is always accessible they can be accessed quite quickly by dragging them back to the top. Additionally, I discovered that by holding on any quick setting Tasker icon, Tasker will actually open up. From there Tasker can be disabled quickly which removes the whole reason for the having a specific scene I built for work mode.

I suggest a toggle be added within Tasker

    Run Shell event

    4pda.ru · 0 · Posted

Run Shell event shall be fired when a shell command prints to its standard output (stdout) a line matching a pattern.

    Example:

event Run Shell [ Command: getevent Line:*00000004 Use Root:On ]

The typical usage is to monitor keypresses (via getevent utility) and system log records (via logcat utility).

Note: An implementation should ensure that the line buffering only is performed by an operating system and run time libraries. Any other buffering would make the event meaningless.

Perhaps, a virtual terminal (pty) is the best IPC to be used.

Automagic implements Command Output trigger, see http://automagic4android.com/en/help/components-triggers#trigger_command_output but the triiger may

Time profile does not trigger if the phone has not been used for some hours and had gone into a deep sleep.

Marco Faccini · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

I have a reboot profile I want to trigger at 5.30 am. The task works when executed on its own. It would appear that the phone goes into some form of deep sleep and takes tasker with it. I have removed battery optimisation from tasker used use reliable alarms seeing and wake cell option in the monitor preferences. I have used timed profiles for many years in tasker but have never encountered a problem until now.

My phone is Samsun A8 2018 Android 8. Stock room and is not rooted. The profile for reboot is using autoinput.

Tasker shutdown and reboot: other apps don't receive alert. 3C Toolbox and Custom Quick Settings manage this.

bege · 2 · Last reply by bege

    Hi,

the shutdown and reboot commands of Tasker don't give alert to other apps what causes some problems. The Tasker help says that this is also an issue of all other apps. But the same commands of 3C Toolbox Pro and of Custom Quick Settings let other apps react correct.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus (SM-G901F), LineageOS for microG 15.1 (Android 8.1), rooted.

Can you, please, add this to these Tasker commands, too?

    Lag between task commands

Roh · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

Hi. I'm fairly new to tasker, so I'm sorry if this has a very obvious solution. I have this task running (picture attached). It is activated when my car Bluetooth is disconnected from the phone. When it runs, there is a 5-10 second delay between #5 and #6. Is this any way to make this more fluid and have everything back to back? This is the only task that I've had this issue with. Everything else works flawlessly. Thanks!

Actions that runs all tasks for a currently active profile

    mark filip · 0 · Posted

It would be very helpful to have an action that runs all tasks for a currently active profile. I have manual tasks that, upon completion, change various settings (silent/bt off, wifi off) and when the task is complete the profile conditions may have not changed, so there needs to be something that checks which profile is active and re-run the task for that profile to "put things back" to the way they were.

Since my passage to Android P on my Samsung S9, it's impossible to activate WiFi in airplane mode.

Is it tasker problem or Android Pie restriction ?

    Thanks.
