On Note 10+, strange issue with the "Cell Data" task 

Indeed, the task run succefully, but the only effect is visual change of the button in the notification bar parameters. Cell data still remain active / inactive as there is no change.

A simple task on S21 Ultra 5G dosen't work. Tasker doesn't recognize "Google Pay" as an app, or better it doesn't recognize when the app is opened.

If I change Google Pay with an other app (not matter which) it works all fine.

The task should activate NFC ONLY if I open Google Pay and disactivate it when I close the app.

i make an UI with Tasker, for Phone Settings, Connection and Tasks and more, for us and oure customers and soon for tasker community.

This profiles share i with export...

But after the import, is the orderring of profiles and tasks muddled. Because ours profiles overarching and globale variable

I'm on my Fire HD 10 (2021) tablet and whenever I try to add an a plugin the screen goes grey and I'm returned to task edit screen without anything added. I even end up rooting the device and same issue.

There are two things that everyone is asking for at least half a decade over the internet:

- A way to use OR logical condition in profiles. We already have the AND (+). This could MASSIVELY reduce the clutter in my tasker.

- A way to detect apps running on the background.

Currently, tasker only detects apps on the foreground (Poweramp, for instance, is not detected).

There are some addons out there for this. ALL of them obsolete.

Out of nowhere "Power: Any" state change stopped being detected.

Zero clues. Zero messages.

Is there a way to discover the reason ? A Log ?

Hello, I wanted to post a feature request for AutoNotification standalone feature (Notification blocking) but the Joaoapps forum is in read-only mode. I hope my request can be posted here and be considered.

So I am in love with AutoNotification especially its blocking mode. Works wonders. But can you implement whitelist mode for notification blocking? I have 2 shopping apps which they keep posting promotions and such. i don't want those. I hope I can just input whitelist keywords like "shipped", "on delivery" and "delivered"  so I can specifically track my orders only.

I'm trying to remap the power double-tap action on my Samsung Galaxy S10 using Tasker.

I've seen the video on doing this with the Bixby key but am not having luck reproducing it with the power key.

- I've turned off the "Quick launch" toggle in the stock S10 camera - Got the popup asking if I wanted to set tasker as the power double-tap action (and restarted the phone as requested) - I've tried the adding the custom setting to make sure this persists at startup as per here

All to no avail.

I'm facing an issue where I'm not sure if it's an issue of my phone (Pixel 3 with latest updates) or Tasker.

I created an task which switchs the background picture when my calendar shows that I'm having on-call for my company (State -> Calendar Entry). The on-call appointment is a bi-weekly recurring all-day appointment for 7 days. When the on-call starts, the background switchs as expected.

I have a messy csv file that i make multiple splits to be able to extract the datapart i need. When i finaly have the data i want i make a new variable (%csvA) with "variable set" and have the "structure output" checked.

When i then try to list all data from index 2 with %csvA[2]() i get nothing. If i list index 1 i get all the data from the variable.

Whenever a task is saved or when closing Tasker, this message shows Tasker needs the following permissions(s) for the functionality you have configured: Access fine location *Variable %WIFII The problem is, I'm aware the variable works with location only, but I denied this permission in purpose, because it is not needed for what I'm trying to accomplish. I just used a 9 button scene and KEYBOARD action to create a DPAD and give myself the &^%$#@!!! arrow keys (and, eventually, the Delete key) missing from most keyboards.

  Good news:  It works!

Bad news:

  The keyboard disappears, then reappears after a beat.

It's kind of jarring to use, as-is.

Setting the "don't restore keyboard" flag is an ok workaround, but if it's possible to choose not to hide the keyboard that would be useful.

Used to work.  Do I need to set some new permissions?

Phone ringing event only triggers on Blank, Any, or My Contact*. (The * is required).  Caller Name In (%CNAME) only returns GMail, never a name.)

The Phone Ringing event does trigger on phone numbers 555123456*  (Yup the * is required) and %CNAME will be GMail.

Phone Ringing Event triggering on Contacts Labels would be great!

Tasker is not firing a Bluetooth Connected event (Profile) if I put a string in the Name variable in the event.

This is a Profile that I've used for years, and it recently stopped working - after Tasker and my Phone both updated, so I'm not sure which one may have caused the bug.

The profile triggers an action to set a sound/volume profile in another app, whenever my truck's bluetooth connects to my phone.  But for testing, I created an even simpler profile and gave it one action: to produce a popup message "BT Connected".
