Add configure on perform task option for task variable

urkindagood · 1 · Last reply by urkindagood

If it's done like when user import a task for the firstime, it would make passing certain input far easier to child task.

For the time being we have to pass input as parameter or variables then setup them on Perform Task.

It's very unintuitive since Tasker doesn't provide necessary details about the child task.

    "Error - accessibility not running"

Fenix · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

I use Tasker with the AutoInput and AutoApps plugins across several devices to run tasks. Lately, I've been having actions randomly fail with the error "Accessibility service not running" despite it running quite happily for months prior. Using an AutoInput Action to click certain coordinates, doesn't not present an error, but the click does not happen. The permissions are set as they always have been and I have done nothing to change them. It is as if the service just forgets it has been set up. The only way I have found to fix this has been to clear the

Why this permission is needed to turn on airplane mode? Even if I try to grant permissions switching to Tasker Voice Assistant nothing is changing.

Set wallpaper not working on Google pixel 4 xl

Eduardo · 2 · Last reply by Cressy

The set wallpaper task used to work fine until an android update some time back.

For a few weeks now this hasn't been working. Instead of setting the wallpaper to the selected image, it sets it to an image I don't recognize (the one in the attachment).

I am also attaching a screenshot of the task

new v6 Airplane Mode toggle not working, Android 7

Malcolm · 3 · Last reply by João Dias

This would be great for me (thanks!), but unfortunately it doesn't work on my phone: Android 7, Moto E4 Plus. I have Tasker set as Assistant and the android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS is enabled (I checked this using the Tasker app). When I run Airplane Mode toggle I get "Error 1, no way to toggle airplane mode, check notifications"

Wallpaper selector not showing current wallpaper set by tasker (android 13)

Leon Nündel · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

When you use the Set Wallpaper action in tasker on android 13 beta, the new quick wallpaper selector that shows the last used wallpapers doesn't get updated and shows the last manually set wallpaper. I use tasker to daily download a random image from my drive and set it as wallpaper. But the quick selector never updates when tasker changes the wallpaper.

    autobarcode issues

Joost · 2 · Last reply by Joost

Good evening, I have tasker up and running and working properly to send location coördinaties to one of my apps (through a webhook). I am trying to do the same thing for QR code scans (or barcodes) and I have installed autobarcode, added a widget on my screen. I have created a profile for autobarcode with a task. The connection with my app works fine and and when I activate the task I see a new entry in my app. But I can't get the widget to open a scanner and it seems like the app (autobarcode) crashes. App Factory (kid apps) crash/killed on Android 12

    Tasker user 434 · 2 · Last reply by Tasker user 434

On Android 11, works fine.  On Android 12, works fine until a day or so later, when the notification is gone and the profile won't trigger.

Using tasker and app factory 5.12.0, target Android version 26, basic permission set like LOCATION, NETWORK, WAKE LOCK, EXTERNAL STORAGE, etc. When installed it asks for location and storage permissions, and Display over Other Apps, which I grant.  I also disabled battery optimization.

The Profile conditions only check for Display On, GPS On, and WiFi connected.

I know Android 12 has issues with killing phantom processes described here, but I've tried the fix using

AutoVoice Alexa Skill not allowing linking

I got notice I needed to re-link the AutoVoice skill with Alexa, however I'm unable to do so. No matter what method I use, web browser on the phone, on a web browser on a separate computer, etc. I'm always directed to the link notice below. What can be done to re-link?

You need to use your Google account to link AutoVoice with Alexa. If authorization is not working for you please open http://alexa.amazon.com/ in the Chrome browser on this device. There touch Menu (upper right corner)->Request Desktop Site. Search for the AutoVoice skill and link your AutoVoice account there. Alternatively you can link the

My phone does not allow incoming calls while tasker is running

Just recently I was getting calls announced by Tasker but then it would immediately end call. I spent 2 days with my network provider thinking it was the phone. I tried my sim in a new phone and had no issues.

So I factory reset my phone and once everthing was reloaded without any permissions being given, it worked. Gave tasker the requested permissions and it faulted again. So I did some problem solving and factory reset again. Then loaded app by app back on to the phone. testing after each install.

Problem running tasks from Google Assistant

Dan Muller · 5 · Last reply by Xavier Care

In my car, with the phone connected via Bluetooth, I can open Google Assistant by pressing the steering wheel button. I can then say, "Run <task name> with Tasker" and it will work, but only if the phone screen is on. If the screen is off, GA responds with, "Sorry, I didn't understand that".

I believe this to be an issue with Tasker (rather than GA) because, under the same conditions, I can run other apps with no problem. Tasker is the only one that fails this way. Thus, it's a failure unique to the GA/Tasker integration.

    Some important information:
