With Java Code actions, the possibilities in Tasker are endless. I’ve been thinking about the reusability of some of my Tasker projects that rely on this action, and it would be great if we could create custom Tasker actions (similar to Flash or Notify) using the Java Code action. It would work much like what we can already do with AutoTools WebScreens.

This would also be a great way to share complex tasks while providing an easy configuration method for non-advanced users.

I'd like to perform an action via passive location monitoring (i.e. the action is triggered with the new location when another application requests location). I believe this is possible via LocationManager.PASSIVE_PROVIDER.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G with (unrooted) Android 12 here.

My S20 has a feature called "Extra Dim" (to dim the display even more than the default minimum) which is identified by the Custom Setting "Find Setting" as (secure) "reduce_bright_colors_activated" with value 0 or 1.

I can ENABLE or DISABLE this specific setting without any problem using tasker, but surprisingly I cannot READ the current state, as Custom Setting doesn't return a value to the variable referred to by the "Read Setting To" setting (it returns the name of the variable, as usual when using uninitialized variables).

Can you please add the option if the scene is not showing and element visibility triggered to be cached state for the next show of the scene.

Such an option is doable for variable elements those use the variable value which will work when even scene is not showing but the images with a specific colours they'll not work.

Or as a workaround add the option to set the colour for an icon pack images by variable.

For those having lots of profiles/tasks it would be helpful to have separators with comments.

I am currently doing it with dummy tasks named "_____<GROUP_NAME>" but it has some limitations (no duplicates allowed) and it is a bit annoying for profiles.

Add WebSocket client and server with tasker activation on message received.

I am the secretary for a small but very active archery group.  We use group messages constantly to send out meeting reminders, upcoming events and work parties.  Currently, Tasker can send SMS messages, but not MMS.  I can get around that restriction by sending a join SMS message from my tablet to my phone with multiple phone numbers and my phone then sends it out as an MMS message without an issue.

It would be much more convenient to send out a group message from my phone using Tasker rather than relying on my tablet.  I always travel with my phone,

add "wake on lan" funtionality

When copy pasting a scene element, the dimensions always change slightly. (e.g. a rectangle of 50x50 becomes a rectangle of 54x47).

If you immediately change the dimensions (before closing the element edit scene), then the changes will not save. You have to open the element again and change the dimensions.

I create somewhat complicated tasks that I like to add a lot of comments to. Right now I do this is the "Label" field of each a action. I sometimes use the anchor action at the top of the task and type in a large paragraph into the label field. Not sure if large text in the label fields can cause problems or excessive memory usage at runtime.

A simple dummy "comment" action would be a lot cleaner looking and could ignored at runtime.

This is a suggestion to apply in a future release. If possible.

The topic is about the background image that appears in the scene editor. This image seems to be the one we could have as the default wallpaper for our device (Launcher).

Well, unless we temporarily set the background of that scene to a solid color (black, for example), working with elements can be a bit confusing/annoying. Especially if we have "psychedelic", or any type of non solid wallpapers.

Please add this two actions to GD. 

Please add option reminder time for add calendar event

Please add  multidimensional arrays.

Hello Joao, I would like to request something that could be useful for some of us, overwall if we have many projects into Tasker (+1000 actions). It will help us to navigate between all the actions from a task, without the need of going back, and load the next/previous action again. It will also prevent loosing too much time (1-4 seconds) when Tasker has to load all the elements from UI editor, mainly for those phones that are not much powerfull as them would need to (CPU). So, below you have a picture as an example of what I'm talking

The main one I was looking for in a project I'm working on is: DROP TABLE. (fails reporting issues with db write permissions)

And, if possible, would be great if you could add more than the one I wrote you before.

Only the following are currently supported when Pent added that action: INSERT INTO, UPDATE, CREATE TABLE, DELETE FROM, ALTER TABLE

When I'm creating a task and use an 'IF' or 'FOR' action I always have to immediately go back and create the 'END' action accompanying it because if I don't the rest of my task falls into the IF statement. This is really annoying and it has on several times screwed up my tasks and I don't realize it till I'm already using the task in real use cases.

Many times I have multiple If statements nested inside each other and I loose track. So it would be great to have like a checkbox option to create the 'END' action

Currently, the AutoWear-plugin is available for Wear OS-based smartwatches. The idea is to develop a equivalent for the Samsung Tizen-based smartwatches.

I have some questions on Taskernet:

• Why is the HTML description only displayed in a box?
• Why not build it to be a place to discover new projects, where people can vote and comment?
• Why can't scenes be exported?

Take a look at the similar sharing site for Anki software. It has search function, categories, rating. If you take a look at a particular project (mine for example), you will see that it has votes, comments, description of the author (with no box), and raw data of the project.
