An issue was observed that the display of a "TextEdit" created by action "Element Create" cannot be updated when the related global Var, Which is the content of "Text" of "TextEdit", is updated.

In my test, this issue does not exit if the "TextEdit" is created mannaully in the scene edit interface.

This issue was firstly appeared after I updated to 5.12. But it is still there when I go back to 5.11.

I am using "QuickTask" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.balda.quicktask) for simple quick settings tiles, and this has worked well for me for a long time. Since Tasker v5.12, clicking the quick settings tile no longer triggers an event in Tasker. I have tried reinstalling both Tasker and QuickTask and resetting Android quick settings via adb, but it still didn't work. It's only the event-triggering part of the quick settings tile which was not working; I was able to change the image and label of the quick settings tile using Tasker actions. I can also configure whether clicking the quick settings tile required an unlock,

In scenes/text boxes, we can use any font.

Unfortunately, some fonts are not vertically aligned/centered due to their nature.

Please add a slider, that can offset an otherwise vertically centered font by +/- 50 pixels.

Hi, I switched to xiaomi Mi 10 Miui 12 with android 11, I rooted with magisk, I use the using version of tasker and the pro version of secure settings, with huavei I had created a task that turned on the gps if connected to my machine , now the same task with the new device does not work, secure setting does not work to change the gps status. I had Tasker installed on a new Samsung S21 running Android 11 - this was installed as part of migration from old to new phone. On the new phone I've never run Tasker, or set it up at all.

I've kept getting toast type messages randomly appear on my phone saying there was no permission to check for a license. I had no idea which app was causing this, but after pulling the logs I can now see it was Tasker. ADB logcat snippet below:

Tasker's Quick Settings Tasks are incredibly useful and underrated in my opinion. I would love to use them more often if they had the following 2 improvements.

Variable amount of tiles:

As of right now, there are only 3 usable slots under the tab for the Quick Settings Tasks, which is a shame because once you try them out you will end up wanting more. Adding some additional 10 slots would, in theory, do the trick (and it might be the more economical decision regarding AN's existence) but it might make browsing the app overly complicated. I've set my queue limit to around 20 tasks, but I still get that message now and again warning me that I've reached the limit of tasks in memory and no more tasks will be added to the queue. I'm not always sure what the problem is. 

Is there any way to produce a log of the queues currently in memory which includes the name of each task and the number of seconds the task has been in progress?

Allow to specify several profiles (slash separated for exemple) in profile status action.

Music Play can only access local files, sadly no streams.

Make Music Play Internet capable that we can use it as streaming client at least for internet radio stations. Additionally, a recording function would be then great, too.

Like the title means, is there a possibility to add more action to the existing one "Gdrive Actions" like:

-Open (Directly File or Folder)

-Copy/Move/Rename/Delete (File or Folder)

-Share (Selected File)

As we can manage our Internal Memory, with these features we could manage our Cloud too with Tasker, saving so many manual management outside the Tasker.

I hope it's understandable what I need and be useful for  many others too, 🙏

For the task "Set Wallpaper" , I would like to choose from the default stock wallpapers . Currently I can't do that. Can you add this feature please?

in attempting to get a list of current and recent apps using App Info action 'last(0:3)', tasker's package name will populate the return array if a scene has been shown. Is there a way to differentiate between scenes and the app itself? I would like for tasker app to show in array, just not for scenes.

Since Joao and others pointed out that we could use the Variable Value context for complex logic, I have converted several contexts to complex Variable Value contexts.

One problem that I have is viewing the state of the individual logical operations in one Variable Value context.

Please add an option to the context menu to view the current status of each operation. Highlight them green if true. Just like the overall status of the context.

Another simple suggestion that would make debugging easier. "With error", when ticked, should accept custom text that would get displayed as the error message in run log (or rather the one displayed when you open the app, nt sure what's this one called).

I find the AutoCalendar plugin really useful - thanks as always João. I often use the delete event action to delete upcoming event(s) once I have retrieved the ID(s). It would be awesome if it were possible to add in an additional action which only deletes the upcoming notification time(s) that are associated with the event so that Google Calendar does not fire a notification for the event any more, but leaves the actual event intact in the calendar.

Would that be possible do you think?

As reported in the subject, if I associate a task to the Android "assist app" feature, when I run it the current selected app is changed (I guess the focus is given to Tasker itself, but I am not sure hot to verify it). To avoid this, I am currently using the "Home Button Launcher" app to run the task, instead of Tasker itself: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dynamicg.homebuttonlauncher

I've a very simple profile to turn OFF WIFI when I leave a certain location.

Recently the action to turn OFF WiFi started to bug.

Sometimes it runs as it should, sometimes runs but doesn't turn off WiFi (ExitERR on the LOG)

I've the last version of Tasker (beta) + new tasker setting and both aren't battery optimized.
