I have a task that always ran successfully until Android 11. I can no longer turn off wifi. I've tried Net-Wifi Off and Custom Settings methods and neither works.

Any other way to accomplish?

There is a way to show notification text on secure lockscreen using setPublicVersion. Can you please add that as a option in Notify task?

Hello, It would be cool if it was possible to emulate a BLE peripheral to send data like heart rate for example. Possessors of bracelets with heart rate function (such as mi band) would be able to share it with other devices (connected bike home trainer or connected treadmill for example). The code to do this already exists (https://github.com/WebBluetoothCG/ble-test-peripheral-android), and it would be amazing if it was integrated into tasker. Thanks.

On my old ringtone (Samsung J7 2016, Android 9) I had a profile with I turn ringer sound on / off when I was in the meeting. Now I have Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, Android 10 with the same profile, but something is going wrong. It looks like vibrate mode and sound mode doesn't work alone. I checked it. The results are in PDF file. Sound mode and vibrate mode alone do not turn the sound on or off. I had to add both of them to my task. And it still depends on the order. For example, if

So, I'm trying to take a picture with Tasker, but I noticed that 90% of the times it doesn't work, for reasons yet unknown.

The biggest issue, tho, is that the "continue task after error" doesn't work. It just stops at all.

Because on WhatsApp, it's possible to see conversation behind Authentication Dialog.

It would be great if we could have local variables scoped at the profile level, so that their values would remain available to the exit task for the same instance if the profile.  Ideally this would include user-defined variables, event parameters, variables populated by Tasker with event-related values, and those populated by plugins.

Actually, my device is an Xiaomi Redmi 8 Miui 11 (Android 9). When I use "Screen Capture Action", or "AutoInput Screen capture" in a task, allways ask permission to initiate the record, so I can't automate screen capture because of user interaction is needed. In my previous device (Moto G3rd android 6.0.1)  theese actions works fine.

Could you told me how I can solve it?

In reference to my previous post i may have the answer.

Back in the days when i created profiles and their relative tasks i was using the app with the language set to english and i still prefer to have english as default. Now, from time to time tasker decides on its own (???) to change language to italian (which is the OS language) and that causes all of my tasks to stop working properly. When i change language back to english everything seems to work again as normal. How do i prevent tasker from automatically switching languages?

When Tasker is placed on the home screen, and Tasker Secondary is not on the home screen. When applying a change in Tasker. Then Tasker is replaced by Tasker Secondary on the home screen.

Just like the normal actions we can get guided into selecting the start and end points of a gesture, or even record it both at once. Having both the options of recording and individual point selection will be very convenient. 

Add possibility to pack color (#RRGGBB, aqua, red green, orange, ...) to a manual selected icon.

If you select an icon by "Image Select" and then switch to manual selection - the button next to the generic icon table - you get the URI of the previous selected icon but can't add any icon color.

Additionally "Image Selection" has no option to select a file by file manager.

Background:

I want to switch status bar icon by var if a condition is not/met. Color of status bar icon does not matter, but within the notification would be great.

It could be appreciated to add "Notification Responsiveness" feature for Geofences in AutoLocation. Responsiveness can improve power consumption by increasing the latency of geofence alerts.

I'm pretty sure it was working some time ago, but no matter if I use the device name or MAC, it keeps connected. I tried unpairing it as well just to see what happens and it throws the error "Unknown error removing bond".

Is there any chance disconnecting devices will work again on Xiaomi devices?

I've been trying to manage my sip settings on my phone using Tasker. You see, I have some settings in my calling accounts. You can see them if you open your phone app then go to the menu and settings and tap calling accounts. I know that these settings are often locked out or grayed out or inaccessible. That's cuz the carriers don't want people using free voip and would rather those options go away. Anyway, none the less I wiped my phones firmware and went with Lineage OS, which works great. Currently, if a task enables or disables a state profile while the relevant state condition is satisfied, Tasker recognises the state as being entered or exited. E.g. given a profile state %Var ~ true, if %Var is indeed set to 'true', disabling the profile triggers the associated exit task, even though %Var is set to 'true' still. The state has not been exited. While this may be useful at times, it's surprising behaviour, and if you're not aware it's how profile states function, it's difficult to isolate as the source of tasks not performing as expected.

I wanted to export some of my profiles and task as an app but I can select only one task as the launch app. I decided to have the launch task to launch a scene that helps me select which profile I need to set it on but also need homescreen shortcut of one task that when clicked, locks the screen (system lock). If app factory could embed widgets or shortcut  than that would help. And also package some external files like sound files in the apk created by App Factory.
