Event that fires wifi is turned off

Peter Andersson · 3 · Last reply by Scott Almond

Event that fires wifi is turned off.

When I'm just out of range on wifi so that no data can be transmitted but the phone still thinks im connected, I often turn the wifi off but then I forget to turn it back on.

With this I could create a task that would detect the turn off then wait 30 minutes and turn it back on again.

"Favorite Action" Toolbar to Quick-Add an Action

    Tasker Pro · 0 · Posted

There should be a swipe-in icon toolbar (from the right side for example) or some other configuration where a user can choose often used actions, and assign them an icon, and then click to instantly add the action and go to its configuration screen.

So rather than going into the Action list and having to click the categories, or even have to start typing the Action's name in the "Filter" field - this can quickly pop in whatever actions the user sets in the menu.

Even something like "Variable Set". Click the Variables category all the actions look so similar

    Icon packs in Image picker

    A.C. · 0 · Posted

When some apps (KWGT is one such example) need to prompt the user to select an image, installed icon packs (as well as other image sources like gallery apps) show up in the Open from menu. If the user selects one, he can search through the icon pack to select any icon in it as an image.

However, when Tasker needs the user to select an image, the resulting file picker does not contain image sources in the Open from view. It's just a plain file picker.

As it is now, user must extract icons from packs and place the

Disclose everything that is included during export via taskernet and make it less dubious to export.

    aasswwddd · 0 · Posted

The current tasker share activity com.joaomgcd.taskerm.datashare.export.ShareDataConfig doesn't provide any information about what's included during export.

Tasker will by default include everything that is included in the project. Even those who doesn't belong to the project, which the user may not want to share to begin with.

While I must acknowledge that including them may be very convenient to ensure the export works properly, it looks dubious to me that the user is not informed at all about this. Furthermore the default behaviour is that we have to back out to export. Which is not the usual way to handle confirmation.

Convert regular variables to Task/Profile/Project variables and add indication they exist

    Moshe Siani · 1 · Last reply by KyleK29

Convert regular variables to Task/Profile/Project variables - Something similar to if blocks.

Having some kind of indication that there are variables Task/Profile/Project - Sometimes coming back to an old project you don't remember if you had your variables as a Task/Profile/Project.

Exclude logs of a specific profile or task in Run Log

    SK · 0 · Posted

    Hi,

I have a profile that is using a for loop, which makes logs very long and unreadable.

Can we have a function to exclude a profile or a task in logs?

    Thanks.

Add an option in "Set Variable" to designate it as a PROJECT variable or a TASK variable

    thomas · 0 · Posted

There is currently no way to programmatically create project or task variables. Only global variables or fleeting local variables that don't persist when the task ends. If you want something to be a task variable or project variable, you have to create it by hand within the gear menu for a task or project.

PLEASE add a "storage" option when setting a variable that allows us to designate a variable as a project or Task variable. This would enable the programmatic creation of these variables.

Stop an app without using root

Feature Request: Indicator for Ignored Cells in "Cell Near" Recent Cell List

    S. M. M. Kaisar · 0 · Posted

When editing a “Cell Near” state, the Recently Connected Cell List currently shows:

✅ Tick mark for cells already added to the trigger list

❌ Cross mark for cells not yet added

However, it does not indicate which cells are already in the Ignore list. This makes it difficult to manage or fine-tune ignored cells, especially when the cell list is long.

    🎯 Feature Request:

Please add a third indicator (e.g., a grey mark, pause icon, or any visual cue) beside the cell IDs that are already added to the Ignore list, within the “Recently Connected Cell” popup. This will

Check for new update for imported Taskernet projects

    Moshe Siani · 0 · Posted

I saw there was a post about it already but i thought to give it a try.

    https://tasker.helprace.com/i1756-auto-update-feature

I have found out that technically everyone can do it themself by saving the date of the imported project using the api taskernet link and just to compare it with the current date inside the json data.

    https://taskernet.com/_ah/api/datashare/v1/shares/$user/$project?a=0

So how about doing something like this but built in within Tasker with every imported project?

I would also recommend having the option to control the check for new update time and excludes projects from the checkup that the user doesn't want to update.

Require lock code, while Tasker is lock protected, for importing any profiles, tasks and Scenes.

    Peyman Babazadeh · 0 · Posted

Currently import project behaves correctly, as in you can't import any until the lock code is entered, but profiles, tasks and scenes can still be imported, which defeats the purpose of locking Tasker to prevent access to certain actions.

I'm not using the "Lock on Startup" option, since I still want to have access to other permitted profiles and actions. I just don't want to be able to import any profiles, tasks and scenes, so that I can't bypass blocked actions like "Set Tasker Pref", by just importing them in an unlocked project.

Display the project name at the top of screen

    einstein6 · 0 · Posted

At 1 point we will bound to have too many projects. I like to assign icon to my project because it is more visual, and I don't like to clutter long texts at the project name.

However, it will be useful if we still could see the name somewhere on the screen.

Currently when we are viewing profiles/tasks/scenes/vars in any screen, we will see the word Tasker on the top left. Can this text be replaced with the project name instead?

If the task name is long, we could trim and append "..."

Add conditions like clipboard changed for every event that generates variables

    aasswwddd · 0 · Posted

It would be nice to have what Clipboard Changed Event has in other event context as well. For example, Intent Received and Command event. Both generates variables but doesn't have conditions like Clipboard Changed Event.
