    Battery and charging information

schlimbo · 1 · Last reply by Stefan

It would be great if the following information could be available in a Task (via variable or "Test Battery" aktion):

-Battery temperature -Current charge/discharge current in mA -currently used charging method ( quick charge / slow charge ) -estimated time until the charging process is completed

Kid App Mode for all actions

Ian Grody · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

Is it possible to have a toggle in Tasker to enable a special mode that will allow access to all of Tasker Actions, including ones blocked out due to not supported?

The idea for this is so say I am building a project on my device for another device, but don't have that feature on mine, I can access those options and add said functionality. If it is ran on mine, just silently say it succeeded and resume.

    Many thanks!

Calendar event variables have default value

    Arnaud Boussaer · 0 · Posted

    Hi,

I think there is a small bug in the calendar event handler. Let me explain..

    My user story

When a calendar entry (meeting) is starting, I would like to mute my phone. But I want to exclude the meetings where the location is set to 'DSN'. These are all-day events that remind me to work on a different work location, so they are not really 'meetings'. I have a calendar event profile with location set to '!DSN' .

    The problem

The calendar event variables are set to a default value when not present in the event.

    Example: I have

    Scene actions collision handling

    Ian Grody · 0 · Posted

Could we have the ability to allow collision handling within Scene Tap actiojs please. At the moment it appears it defaults to "Stop New Task" - itdi be useful to allow running together as to allow checks to be carried out and complain about rapid button presses.

    Thanks!

    New "Edit Project" action.

Just to open Tasker in a specific project.

With this action we would be able to make our own ui for organize and view all projects.

Create TaskerNET URL to access all shared files

    Mat Zolnierczyk · 0 · Posted

TaskerNET URL allows you to share a single link to a profile|project|task It would be good to have a special URL that you can also share to allow people to see all uploaded content, with a possible way to modify the URL  should you want to deactivate the previously granted access.

    Widget Labels letters size

    Manuel DDP · 0 · Posted

Please add the option to change the size of the letters for widget labels. Depending on your launcher, the size differs and in my case they are all cutted out. I would need them to be smaller.

    Thanks!

Reliable alternative to a long term wait.

    Christopher Peralta · 0 · Posted

My idea is for there to be a native and simple alternative for a several day long wait action. I know that there are some workarounds (JSON stuff, Calendar workarounds, etc...) but the ones I've seen all leave something to be desired.

My use case for this is have a popup when I disable my alarm that asks me how many days I want to disable it for then reactivating it after the time has passed.

Completed tasks replay when TaskService is restarted if the task was started following a long running task

Sean · 3 · Last reply by Sean

Tasks that are running when the TaskService is killed are resumed when the TaskService can be recreated (as they should).  In addition completed tasks that should not resume are incorrectly replayed if they were started after a task which should resume.

    Example:

    • Task "Long" requires a long time to finish.
    • Task "Short1" and "Short2" are done quickly.
    • User starts tasks in the order Short2, Long, Short1.
    • Tasker finishes Short2 and Short1 but is still working on Long.
    • Android terminates the TaskService
    • Tasker recreates TaskService
    • Tasker resumes Long and Short1 even though Short1 had already finished.

    Expected behavior: Tasker resumes Long

Use headers in HTTP POST (and any other related HTTP Methods)

The ability to use headers (both, being able to send custom headers, and also see received headers) in HTTP POST (and other HTTP methods) would be extremely useful for me and other users.

    Profile Debounce as an option

Philip Schaffer · 4 · Last reply by Scharkieh

I would like to see an option under "Profile Properties" to add a debounce time out similar to the "Cooldown Time" option.  The Debounce time would prevent a profile from changing state for a fixed period of time after the profile asserts or de-asserts.

For example, let's say we have a profile with a WiFi Connected context and a debounce timer set to 10 seconds.  Assume the profile has been inactive for more than 10 seconds and then becomes active.  The pofile's enter task should start as soon as the profile becomes active.  Now assume that the profile becomes inactive

    S-Pen Bluetooth Settings Access

Kaylee Keller · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

I use Tasker to disable Wi-fi and Bluetooth in certain areas, but as of now I have to have it notify me when I am entering these areas to turn off the Bluetooth S-Pen setting on my Note 9 manually. It would be much more convenient to be able to have it access this setting directly.

    Bluetooth LE read/write capabilities

Jimmy · 4 · Last reply by Stefan

It would be very handy if Tasker had basic Bluetooth LE read and write abilities and/or be able to discover BLE service characteristics. This would be fantastic for giving people the ability to interact with their BLE devices. For example, read the state of a heart monitor and display the information, or controling BLE smart lights.

Feature Request: Detect the current foreground activity and make it as a state.

    Jackal Zhao · 0 · Posted

As we all know, Tasker have an App context to detect the foreground activity and run tasks, but there is no way to detect the activity. I can't make Tasker decide whether to perform a task according to the current activity.when a event happened(of course Shell code can detect the activity, but shell is too slow)

List Item Dragging, With Menu Option, Delete Action Not Available

Robert L Ryan · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

In the Tasker preferences -> UI, List Item Dragging has the option When Selecting, With Menu Option. This works perfectly for me, except for one thing.

When selecting a profile, task or scene a 'trash can' icon appears in the title bar so the selection can be deleted.

However, when selecting an action in the task edit screen no 'trashcan' icon appears. The user is forced to cut the actions to Tasker's clipboard to delete them. See attached screenshots.

    Back up before purchasing

Kaloyan Ivanov T · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

Tasker is asking for validation. It suggests to back up, uninstall and purchase from play store but there is no way to back up as it jumps straight to validation screen. I have 10 hours worth of commands written (some of which I don't remember how to rewrite). How do I back them up?

Does not automatically set Do Not Disturb to all upon exit task

Kev · 4 · Last reply by Kev

I have set a Car task that is appropriately triggered when connected to car audio. It correctly sets Do Not Disturb to Alarms Only. As an exit task, Tasker is supposed to run another task that includes setting Do Not Disturb back to All, but it fails to do it automatically. When I manually run the task, it works though. I've attached the exit task

    Destroy scene animation glitch

    Delords Arthur · 0 · Posted

    Hello Joao,

Destroying scenes in the background brings them to the foreground in a glitchy animation which really takes away from UX.

I know this isn't a mainstream request but it's the only thing keeping me from publishing a very impressive app I built using Tasker on the Play Store and I would really appreciate it if you'd take a look at the issue, thanks!

P.S. I've attached a video showing this animation glitch in my app while switching tabs.

    Scenes sizes

Giancarlo Ferreira · 1 · Last reply by Somesh

Greetings! I would like to leave a tip: in the next update, you can put the option to use percentage (%) to change the size of the resolution of the scenes, besides the pixels? It would help a lot to fit all screen sizes. Ex: to cover the entire screen, just place 100% vertical and 100% horizontal. Thank you.
