I use html request get to store data from https://sampo.thl.fi/pivot/prod/fi/epirapo/covid19case/fact_epirapo_covid19case.dimensions.json. When I store in to variable, it doesn't include it whole. Does tasker cut it partly? How to workaround it?

Since Joao and others pointed out that we could use the Variable Value context for complex logic, I have converted several contexts to complex Variable Value contexts.

One problem that I have is viewing the state of the individual logical operations in one Variable Value context.

Please add an option to the context menu to view the current status of each operation. Highlight them green if true. Just like the overall status of the context.

Escaping is pretty much a requirement for languages/syntaxes to work well. There's currently no way to escape special characters for Tasker pattern matching.

I also know you can use regexes as a workaround but it's suboptimal if the matching should be indeed simple.

Rather than just some sort of specific Tasker URIs, they should work with content and maybe file URIs.

Another simple suggestion that would make debugging easier. "With error", when ticked, should accept custom text that would get displayed as the error message in run log (or rather the one displayed when you open the app, nt sure what's this one called).

Could you please add the ability to edit the android manifest for kid app within the app factory interface please. 

I find the AutoCalendar plugin really useful - thanks as always João. I often use the delete event action to delete upcoming event(s) once I have retrieved the ID(s). It would be awesome if it were possible to add in an additional action which only deletes the upcoming notification time(s) that are associated with the event so that Google Calendar does not fire a notification for the event any more, but leaves the actual event intact in the calendar.

Would that be possible do you think?

An option in Tasker settings, that toggles whether Tasker itself can use metered network connections, could be very useful.

So, if the option "Allow Tasker to use metered network connections" is in the off position, Tasker itself will only use non-metered networks.

As reported in the subject, if I associate a task to the Android "assist app" feature, when I run it the current selected app is changed (I guess the focus is given to Tasker itself, but I am not sure hot to verify it). A suggestion for an extra Get Location return parameter (or perhaps a Variable Convert function) is the geohash.

As a usage example, I scrape weather forecasts from the UK Met Office website, which uses a geohash to specify a location (anywhere in the world as far as I can see). To do this I currently have to Get Location, feed the coordinates to the Geohash website, extract the geohash from the result and then feed that into the Met Office website before extracting the forecast data.

It'd be nice to simplify the process.

I've a very simple profile to turn OFF WIFI when I leave a certain location.

Recently the action to turn OFF WiFi started to bug.

Sometimes it runs as it should, sometimes runs but doesn't turn off WiFi (ExitERR on the LOG)

I've the last version of Tasker (beta) + new tasker setting and both aren't battery optimized.

I can't force-connect my car alarm neither with common action nor with AutoTools (see attached screenshots). Could you please provide some solution?

The ability to import and export individual tasks and profiles using tasker actions as opposed to AutoInput or manually.

While this is do-able using AutoInput, a dedicated action would ensure reliability and remove ~20 actions from a task that I currently use to import a profile into a specific project

A tasker action could import a specified xml into a specified project. A second action could export a specified task or profile (or project?) and save to a specified location

Tasker is usually battery friendly but some people write incredible and large things which may end up using some relevant amount of battery. A battery report built into Tasker would be great. It should list how much battery each task has used of the total battery Tasker used. Preferably also the battery impact for monitoring profiles etc. Whatever details possible to add.

Variable names appear in the list when clicking the variable buttons in actions, if's etc. These include variable names used in the task and the profile. Variable names returned from a child task is however not included which can make it pretty cumbersome to use these. I'd love seeing these in the variable list as well.

Really need the creation of a new/additional Search/Replace that primarily enabled two things:

1. Allow named groups in the regex to automatically create variables and values within the Task.

2. Allow multiple replaces at one time in the Action by inputing a group name along with its replacement value.

Pairs should likely be created/input using the format of the new Task/Profile/Project variables feature, where you press a " + " button, and a new pair of fields appears.

Was mir besonders entgegen kommt, ist dort die Aufnahmeverstärkung um 400%, denn mein HUAWEI P20 lite liefert nur eine sehr geringe Aufnahmelautstärke. Beim Abspielen von Aufnahmen muss ich die Wiedergabelautstärke immer voll aufdrehen auch bei 400%) und dann nicht vergessen diese wieder auf den Normalwert herunter zu setzen. Siehst Du eine Möglichkeit sieht die Aufnahmeverstärkung höher als +400% einzustellen? Oder kennst Du eine App welche das ermöglicht? Könnte man das in Tasker einbauen?
