Could we please have options to take control of back/recent button when Authentication activity is used?

In scenes, we can launch them as activities and capture the recent and back buttons and reassign their uses when open. This function would allow to prevent people attempting to bypass the feature.

Is there a way to disable this annoying message in Android 9 or automatically press "allow"?  Otherwise tasker becomes useless

Hi, Neither the NearCell, nor the NearWifi/WifiConnected functions work when the Location service is turned off. Cmon' it's not as expected... I have to turn on the location service to get the info: Am I connected to wifi or not??? In this case if I need any info about my location (or the reachability of the Wifi), should I turn on the location service? It's crapy. Android 9 Nokia 7.1 Takser: 5.6

Upon installation of a new device and the tasker restoration of data, tasker plug ins need to be re-edited manually (sometimes just click the edit button and exit is enough) to be able to work as it looks like otherwise it won't generate the variables. Even if each plug in app itself is opened beforehand, it stills need to be edited in tasker.

I have a simple profile set to go off when the phone is shaked 'left-right'.

Sensitivity is very low. Duration is very long. Though I don't know what either of those things means (does 'very low' mean it it takes a very strong shake, or a very small shake to hit the very low threshold? Does 'very long' mean I have to shake it for a very long time, or it tracks motion for a very long time and looks to see if I slowly shook the phone?), it still functions about as I expect: I need a strong, firm,

tasker runs on a Huawei P10.

after some days of try and error, i got the settings so tasker fires the

trigger for %BATT ervery one% of %BATT changes.

I tried it over 24 hours in power-saving mode and it works reliable.

Some days later, without changes anything in the settings, the %BATT trigger doesn´t

fire after 2hours in power-saving mode and I find no solution to fix it.

This seems to be very unreliable and it would be fine if you have a solution.

Tasker's default Quick Settings Tile is very useful for disabling/enabling Tasker, but can its label be changed from "Toggle" to "Tasker" to better describe its function?

In addition, can all of Tasker's default App Shortcut Tasks be included in the search list so that the App Shortcut Tasks can customized (i.e., reordered, remove individual commands, add other)?

Hello, i'm using tasker for several years now for some routine scripts (launch music player when bluetooth headset is connected then launch music, send domoticz commands when i come home, that kind of things). I updated my phone (Xiaomi MIA1) to Android 9.0 friday night and now tasker is not able to activate any profile at all. The app is of course removed from battery optimization and is always running. I activated all permissions and accessibility either.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it did nothing. If i test the profiles one by one it works correctly. Thanks.

I have a profile that executes some task when notification is cancelled.

When i cancel a group of notification in whatsapp it doesn't execute task for last notification also doesn't execute task for single notification. On testing i discovered the button text variable isn't also set for the given condition.

For SMS Organizer although the button text is set but the button action isn't performed.

When a media volume task is executed from a profile, the level is lower than if you execute the task directly.

Example: I have a profile that executes a task when a spesific bluetooth device is connected.  The task is set to open Spotify, wait for 10 seconds and adjust the media volume to max (30). But the volume is always set to lower than max. I have to reach down in my pocket to get the 2 or 3 last clicks up to max. The task works as intended if I press the play button inside the task

It would be helpfule to launch app activities or query app activities with AutoLaunch.

I have followed all the steps in the FAQ but my tasker keeps disabling itself on my device running 9.0 on Pixel 1

The idea is in a task flow hold on untill something is changed or something is accomplished.

There can be an optional wait time specified for maximum time to wait.

Like in a task wait untill internet available, or wait untill a variable changed(although it is available in wait untill task, there is no option for maximum time to wait). Moniter something in between a task and proceed after it changed status. 

Using multiple profiles can accomplish this but giving this option would really be helpful.

I'd like to be able to use the number picker in a scene for picking a time, but I don't want to have to scroll through every number. I'd like to be able to scroll by increments of my choosing  such as 5, 10, or 15 to make it easier to pick a time

As much as I love Tasker, this is not the social media app that needs to grab my attention. It is a tool that I use to automate my workflows. 

I don't like the fact that Tasker seems to place notification badges on new actions. It creates annoyance after every update and it makes me annoyed at the new features (exactly opposite feeling to the one I wanted).

It would be useful if there was a way to disable that.

When i create a standalone app with appfactory 5.6, the the media button event is not received by the app. In tasker 5.6 itself it works perfectly.

Please help. I'm stuck! 

Tasker occasionally crashes. Quite old problem and have not been fixed still. And when it does crash, it also triggers all or most of the tasks to action, apparently all at the same time. This is very old problem since Tasker 4 and have had this with Android 5, 6 and 7.

Might be some bug if too much going on at the same time? Maybe should optimize my stuff and give different priorities to tasks (as I have never done that)? Or maybe need more powerful smartphone to run my stuff without crashing?

To get a better sense as to how your complex structures operate it would be great if run log could be somehow visualized through live animated flow charts. Would be able to debug quicker, make improvements quicker, and able to create and understand more complex systems. The whole awesomeness of Tasker is after all making programming easier and it could also break barriers as to how complex things could be made by making the creation process easier.
