I.e. tasker profiles for the autoshareplugin will not trigger. Although there is a popup showing the command and text.

How do I know? Once I installed autoapps sharing to my autoshare commands started working and triggered the profiles and their respective tasks.

Before I activated autoshare by watching an ad (not knowing that I bought Autishate before) and as far as I can tell staying within the limitations of the lite version by only sharing text I.e. the current chrome tabs url.

Why do I share this although it works now for me?

I consider the autoshare lite version broken.

I'm running Android 10 on a Nokia 7.1, with v5.14.6 of Tasker installed.

Starting in the past few weeks, Tasker randomly stops executing tasks.  When this happens, if I don't notice it right away, my battery will deplete *a lot*.  For example, if I don't notice this for a few hours, I could lose 50% or more of battery.  

Rebooting my phone fixes the issue (until it occurs again).  Sometimes this will occur several times a day, sometimes several days will go by without it happening.  I can't find any rhyme or reason as to when/why it happens.

There is App Factory bug that does not show the "Misc" and "Material" options in an icon dialog on my app. I'm trying to make a notification creator. Also the scene, does NOT display correctly.

When choosing the Device Default Auto theme in Tasker Preferences and the phones Dark Mode is not enabled, or choosing the Device Default Light theme, the tools text in the scene editor is barely visible. The text color is black on an almost black background. See attached Image.

As long as Takser is active, the motion detection for Android and other apps does not react or is needs very broad and fast motions to be registert.

For example the phone should turn on the screen if it is picked up. As long as Tasker is disabled that works fine. When Tasker is activ I have to wave the phone around quit abrutly for it to register the motion.Also the "Wake me up" alarm muting does not work when Tasker ist active.

I have set up a szene for my music controls some time ago and it worked absolutely fine and displayed the track image, but after the last update it does no longer display the image given from a variable. The called variable is set by the "Music track changed" event's child variable %mt_art and contains a path to the image. 

For the time being, the project list is being locked as it's inside the project edit menu. 

For example if I copied a file using tasker's 'file action' , then it should refresh mediastore, so that apps can pickup the new file in the directory.

It can be done using:

am broadcast -a android.intent.action.MEDIA_SCANNER_SCAN_FILE -d file:///sdcard/filename

(probably you might need to run the above in root mode in some phones

If I have an image that is admittedly annoyingly bright *, with the DARKEST pixels around rgb(166, 155, 125), the black & white filter results in an all-white image regardless of what threshold I select. So even if threshold is set to 255, which is the maximum, there are no black pixels in the resulting image.

I figured the filter might incorrectly calculate the lightness of each pixel from its components, so I also tried to first filter the image to grayscale, but that also didn't help. But then I'm not sure if the grayscale filter actually changes the image

Tasker currently displays the date/time that a profile was created in the profile properties dialog.  It would be extremely helpful to have the date/time the profile was last edited also displayed here, and to have both of these dates/times displayed for tasks in the task properties dialog.  This would be a great aid when trying to maintain profiles and tasks across multiple devices.

I create the same profile over and over again on different devices (Pixel 5, Pixel 4a, Xperia XA2 etc ...) and they are working fine.

But with my asus zenfone 8 I cannot make tasker to read, correctly, the bluetooth state.

What does it mean ? 

I have a profile and task saying that if the phone is connected to my band (Mi Band 5), then volume of everything should be set to maximum.

Is it expected behavior that implicitly changing the volume level via Tasker would turn off DND mode if turned on by tasker? Doesn't seem to do this if DND is turned on via Android UI. See attachment for VERY simple reproduction case.

Please tell me exactly (I'm dumb) how to completely disable the proximity sensor, since when I make a call the screen goes black.

Otherwise, since I just bought Tasker, if I can't do this, I want to return it for a refund.

Don't know if it has been reported or not. And i do hope i can explain the issue for you guys to understand.

I have a task where i disable my 2nd sim when i have a day off according a certain calendar entry. I use the ADB Wifi command phone.setSimPowerStateForSlot (1.0) to disable it. It does work well and my 2nd sim is disabled. But here comes the issue, after i think aprox 12hr while the sim is disabled i can't reenable it anymore. My phone (Samsung s20 fe 5g - non rooted) doesn't see any available 2nd

On Note 10+, strange issue with the "Cell Data" task 

Indeed, the task run succefully, but the only effect is visual change of the button in the notification bar parameters. Cell data still remain active / inactive as there is no change.

A simple task on S21 Ultra 5G dosen't work. Tasker doesn't recognize "Google Pay" as an app, or better it doesn't recognize when the app is opened.

If I change Google Pay with an other app (not matter which) it works all fine.

The task should activate NFC ONLY if I open Google Pay and disactivate it when I close the app.

But after the import, is the orderring of profiles and tasks muddled. Because ours profiles overarching and globale variable

I'm on my Fire HD 10 (2021) tablet and whenever I try to add an a plugin the screen goes grey and I'm returned to task edit screen without anything added. I even end up rooting the device and same issue.

There are two things that everyone is asking for at least half a decade over the internet:

- A way to use OR logical condition in profiles. We already have the AND (+). This could MASSIVELY reduce the clutter in my tasker.

- A way to detect apps running on the background.

Currently, tasker only detects apps on the foreground (Poweramp, for instance, is not detected).

There are some addons out there for this. ALL of them obsolete.
