It would be highly beneficial to have an option to specify "thisScene" in tasks that modify scene elements or handle item clicks. Currently, when cloning a scene containing such tasks, the reference in the task list remains linked to the original scene. This means changes made through item clicks in the cloned scene still affect the original. Adding a "thisScene" option would ensure that tasks in a cloned scene operate independently, controlling only the cloned copy without impacting the original scene. This enhancement would greatly improve flexibility and usability when working with cloned scenes.

The device I’m using doesn’t have Google Play—it’s an Orange Pi Zero 3 running a version of Android. 

I’m unable to add the license because the 3-dot menu doesn’t appear. While researching, I found some old Reddit threads about similar issues, but the suggested solutions involved creating a task to open the preferences or checking for operational problems like Overscan settings, which didn’t work for me.

When connecting in my car, I have two Bluetooth devices (the car and an Android head unit).  The car connection needs to be used for calls, but the phone always defaults to the incorrect device when answering a call.

When I get in the car and the devices connect, I can resolve this by going into the Bluetooth settings for the head unit and deselecting "Calls", but that setting does not persist the next time I get in the car.

I'd like Tasker to be able to change that setting upon connection to the specified device.

I have setup a profile which has:

WIFI CONNECTED STATE: When connected to specific SSID, then Initiate a task.

This works as expected when I connect to said SSID, _HOWEVER_ the EXIT TASK only works when you physically manually turn off the Wifi from the android quick settings menu. If you walk far enough away from the wifi that mobile data kicks back in, the EXIT TASK fails to run.

Any ideas?

The default behaviour of notification actions (the buttons on a notification) for most apps is that they do something as well as dismiss that notification.

In tasker you can only assign a single action to a notification action button. For more complex actions you have to point to a task.

It would be great if a checkmark can be added to the notification action to also dismiss the notification when it's clicked. That would make this behavior a lot easier to program in tasker.

Would be highly useful if webdav support is possible. The reason for asking is that a lot of people are wanting to degoogle, but some services and apps such as tasker only support Google Drive. Adding WebDAV support to be able to back up tasker settings and config would ensure less reliance on google. There was a post on this 5 years ago here

I'm trying to create a task to deny network access for an app, but I keep getting this error.

using Tasker its possible to detect if a specific app was killed by OS and relaunch immediately.

I have tried using Android Device Administration API but I dont find how to do it using it.

When creating a task, it's likely to have a certain number of global variables / arrays global to be able to check their content for debuggung.

When having task development finished, certain global variables / arrays should be local because they are much more run-time efficient than being global.

It's a certain work to change global variables / arrays to local and also a certain risk to miss a variable / array somewhere in an action, and task doesn't work no longer as expected.

My proposal: Would it be possibe that variables / arrays with an e.g. leading or trailing

If tasker can natively fetch fitness data from Health Connect it would be great. There is an existing tasker plugin that does the job (GitHub - RafhaanShah/TaskerHealthConnect: Android Health Connect Plugin for Tasker). But it would be great if this can be included in Tasker. The plugin can fetch data for specified number of days and out put as json string. something similar would be nice.

Now I can make APK and install it successfully but I have a problem when I click to open that new app on my mobile screen it just freezes and doesn't respond or open any page.

The only solution is to launch a scene and instantly hide it just before showing the input dialog, but that's double the work. I would appreciate it, João, if this problem could be taken into account so that it can be solved. 

The TextEdit Dialog contains no AutoCorrect functionality.  If, for example, you use an Input Dialog you can use the reference "245841" for input type to get all AutoCorrect functionality (and multi-line) which is what I need.  It seems this has been an issue for years and I think it should be considered a bug more than a feature request.  A TextEdit dialog should function as text does literally anywhere else in android.

It looks like the Icon for a Flash in Tasker Layout is always assumed with Aspect Ratio 1:1.

I have an Image rather 16:9, and want to show it big. it doesn't get stretched, but with empty Borders Top and Bottom. The Text is aligned Top. Not really nice :-p

Is there a Way to prevent emtpy Space Top/Bottom? Not just one Number for the Icon Size, but maybe 60x30? Or a HTML/CSS Code i didnt try, that helps me with that?

I have a timer tasks which is working  in ONe UI 6.1 on Samsung - Recently I migrated to XOS(A14) (ANdroid varian) and I see that TIme tasker are not firing (Locked in memory,Reliable alarm,Battery not optimized etc..) - (But it is firing when screen is on or device is not screen locked)

So I gave a  try with Macrodroid and I see that it is firing the tasks mostly as expected- Though it is asking for additional permission of "Alarms & Reminders".

I would love to have the ability to change the screen brightness based on Application use on my Truck Android 13 Device.

I been trying all the available settings I can find online, but seems my Device with Android 13 have some custom mods for the brightness and seems the settings are not standart.

Current behavior is to error out and display nothing. This makes it difficult to use a list dialog for user populated global arrays if no items were entered yet. Id like to use the list dialog buttons to begin the creation of an item within the array and for that I need the list to launch similar to a text dialog with an empty list until an item is added to array.

I bought Tasker, but I am unable to start it. When tasker is being started, then a full screen message opens with "Data Access and Collection in Tasker" and there is no button / option to continue to the app itself. Disabled notifications for Tasker, but no change. Using Android 10 tablet. How to proceed to the app itself?
