The "Cell Near" feature in Profiles does not work in Android 9, neither with the original mode nor with the "new API" that is suggested in the app. specific conclusions at this time:  - No cell information is returned if I scan for the current location  - No current cell information is recognised, and therefore profiles with "Cell Near" as entry condition currently do not work

Please allow 4, 5, or unlimited contexts in a profile to avoid the need for hacky workarounds.

When trying to import a project that has root actions integrated (via TaskerNET link), the import fails on non-rooted devices.

I get the following message during the import dialog:

Missing Permissions

Tasker needs the following permission(s) for the functionality you have configured:

Root Access

If i then click "ok" nothing happens and the import aborts without message

I don't see a reason why the import should not work in this case.

It would be great if the following information could be available in a Task (via variable or "Test Battery" aktion):

-Battery temperature -Current charge/discharge current in mA -currently used charging method ( quick charge / slow charge ) -estimated time until the charging process is completed

I am a long time user but I had to reset my phone and cannot figure out how to reanble the full set of features in the purchased version.  

Can someone assist me?

I use Tasker to disable Wi-fi and Bluetooth in certain areas, but as of now I have to have it notify me when I am entering these areas to turn off the Bluetooth S-Pen setting on my Note 9 manually. It would be much more convenient to be able to have it access this setting directly.

Some people (including myself) would probably prefer creating a separate Taskernet account instead of tying it to their Google account (or any other service, for that matter). It would be great to see such option in the future.

Current, only "Task Shortcut" widgets follow the launcher font size and style, but not "Task" widgets.

Could you please implement it?

I would like to suggest adding a feature that would greatly facilitate the selection of several lines: when selecting a line and selecting another line, then make the selection of any interval between them. When you have a task with many lines, it is difficult to make the selection one by one.  Thankful

Currently Tasker windows do not affect %WIN, and Tasker can not be chosen as an app context. This is a deliberate restriction to prevent endless loops and other issues.

I propose providing an option to remove this restriction, akin to "expert" mode in preferences. 

Its great that Tasker can create files and backups, but due to potentially sensitive data that could be in the file or the backup it would be useful if Tasker could offer the option to encrypt that data so its protected while stored at rest.

The option to encrypt always increases processing overhead so that should be a consideration when opting to enable the feature.

The option to decrypt the file could be done within Tasker itself, but that would make that created file unable to be decrypted by anything other than Tasker.  Ideally an open source utility or industry

I have exited tasker so many times with the back button on the wing screen. An option to add 'Are you sure? before exit would be great.

Hello. I have owned and used Tasker for years. I just got a new phone, LG V20 w/Android 7. This is a flagship phone and I am running stock (although systemless rooted) Android firmware. Unlike my last phone (Note 3, stock/rooted Android 4.4.2) Tasker is simply not updating the CELLSRV variable on the new LG phone. It always seems to report "unknown". I have tried enabling new cell api with no change. I have read posts from Pent that this can vary by ROM (specifically regarding CM Android) but I find it hard to believe that something like a flagship

When adding new groups to help organize profiles, tasks, and scenes, the new profile is added all the way to the right. When dealing with many groups, the new group would have to be moved if there order of the groups were to be organized. Moving a group requires long-clicking then choosing to move it left it right. This is a pretty tedious process.

Better would be to add the new group to the right of the group that was long-clicked. Allowing drag and drop off groups would also help.

This would avoid the need for a Javascriptlet

Every time I try to choose an Icon for my Tasks, I can choose "Local Media". However, this always takes me to Android's default gallery, which we all know how good that is. Is there any way to change this. 

For example:

From within AutoTools configs, I have the option to choose ES File Browser among the many other options. This also allows me to import images from the Cloud or LAN.  When choosing an icon for a specific task, "Local Media" does not offer the same options in the gallery. I'm not sure this affects all Android default

This would be a great addition for someone who's very familiar with the PHP programming language and would save a lot of time, as well as would shrink down the tasker tasks for loops/cycles and many other thinks like date function, strtotime function and so on.

Could have some way to make more beautiful animations in the scenes of the tasker because the effect of decreasing the size of the element is a bit strange when it is defined along with the action that moves the elements of the scene.

Well, I wanted to do a voice text with the tasker but, it has a limit of up to 40 seconds. It could do something like having a button to proceed with the voice obtained and another to cancel, but also if it is not because something is uncertain by google then have a perception of the voice that continues when listening to the sound and when to get anything or the gift is too low to make it proceed.
