Current behavior is to error out and display nothing. This makes it difficult to use a list dialog for user populated global arrays if no items were entered yet. Id like to use the list dialog buttons to begin the creation of an item within the array and for that I need the list to launch similar to a text dialog with an empty list until an item is added to array. 

This would allow tasks run from home screen to have priority over anything in the background. A dynamic starting priority would be huge for other reasons as well. It could default to 7 as currently operating, but be changed as needed.

Hi. I purchased app on my Android device and I made one automation when network gone, I sent sms and this sms trigger to restart modem, But I faced billing issue when I have network problem. How we can fix this issue asap? 

After following the directions here I get the following error message in Home Assistant when setting up a Tasker HTTP request blueprint: Message malformed: Entity target_devices is neither a valid entity ID nor a valid UUID for dictionary value @ data['entity_id']

I'm running Home Assistant Core 2024.8.3 Frontend 20240809.0 as a Docker container.

When I use the AutoBarcode plugin to generate a QR code from the text 'Hello World' it returns a QR code with the decoded text 'Hello World"'. So it accidentally adds a " at the end.

Is this a Bug or a config Problem on my side?

I have faced some problem which is when i setText using autoinput, it will seperate my variable with comma automatically, even though i set the seperator empty or change it to other things beside comma. I have try as many method as I can, but it's still not working. This issues only appears on setText and appendText. For example, I have a variable "Hello, How are you?". The text paste out will be "Hello" only. Actually the seperator is not working at all, when i change the variable to "Hello @ How are you?", and set seperator to "@", its not

When sending notifications to android, it allows to set a timeout, after which the notification disappears automatically.

Could tasker also support this feature when using the notifiy action?

My kid app, created using App Factory 6.3.12, is using a Near WiFi (by MAC Address) trigger in its profile.

It is only working on a phone that has Tasker installed and enabled (with all profiles disabled).

If Tasker is not installed on the phone, or installed but disabled, the profile's Near WiFi context will not fire. Tested on Samsung evices (Z-Fold3 and S20) with Anroid 14, all permissions granted.

Any advise about this?

Hi Joa,

I recently updated the Tasker app, and since then, I've encountered a problem. When I open the app, it prompts me to watch a video about the new features, but the app freezes at this point. Shortly after, a system error window appears.

Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue? If a reinstallation is necessary, could you also guide me on how to back up my data without accessing the app, as it currently doesn't allow me to do so?

I am currently importing and exporting my projects to different mobile devices. However, each time I do this, if the project shares tasks or uses profiles from another project, they get mixed up upon import. This makes it difficult for me to determine which tasks and profiles belong to which project.

Is there a way to optimize this process so that tasks, profiles, etc., do not get mixed up and remain within their respective projects?

I hope you can add animations to make "show and destroy scene" seem more lively, such as:

•pop-up: provides an attractive effect when used. attracts more user attention to something displayed in the scene.

•fade: as in video cinematography, this can have a dramatic effect. suitable for some situations.

Having a choice of effects on the scene will increase added value to the user experience.

I would like to start my media player and also the "Floating Lyrics" of the Musixmatch app automatically as soon as the connection to ANdroid-Auto is established. Player and Musixmatch start without any problems with their interfaces. I have a samsung s22 ultra with android 14. When the scrren is on the time event triggers as it should but when its off it does not trigger. I have set battery unrestricted for tasker and set use reliable alarm always. I see that tasker does not request premission for alarms and reminders maybe that the issue?
