Option to hide empty lines in the log when searching/filtering.

    Eric Gingell · 0 · Posted

Please add an option to hide empty lines in the Run Log screen when searching/filtering. It's very cumbersome to have to scroll through potentially hundreds of empty lines to find the one you're looking for.

An action to close apps from recents menu

RegiOween · 1 · Last reply by RegiOween

Hello Taskers! I would like to suggest a feature I use a lot: A new action to close one or all apps open, removing from the recents menu. I use a very cool custom ROM (Havoc) in which if I swipe up an app from the recents menu, it closes just that particular app. If I swipe down, it closes all open apps, cleaning the recents menu completely. I really hope more people can support my suggestion, so that we can probably see it implemented. Thanks in advance! RegiOween

AutoInput not working with standard Tasker popup

RegiOween · 1 · Last reply by RegiOween

Hello Taskers! Profile Event AutoInput UI Update is not detecting the text within the standard popup messages of Tasker when they SHOW on the screen, but just after they CLOSE (by timeout or manual tap), which is useless, because that way I can't query or interact with the popup. I did a test with MacroDroid and it's working flawlessly to detect and tap the Tasker popup, but Tasker in terms of programming power is so much superior, that it's completely out of discussion. Here's my profile and task test: Profile: Profile Test   Settings: Notification: no     Event: AutoInput UI

    Relevant background information :

    • Tasker can successfully turn on/off Wi-Fi of the device. (With https://github.com/joaomgcd/TaskerSettings .)

    Problem Reproduction (sequential steps) :

    1) Make sure device is more than "capable" in terms of processing power (e.g. at least mid-range smartphones). Make sure device has more than enough free storage memory (e.g. 200 GB). Make sure device has more than enough free RAM memory (e.g. 8 GB). Make sure device doesn't have many other apps opened, or run, or even installed. Make sure device is problem-free (fully up-to-date, no virus, etc.). You

Feature request: an option to turn off the display *with* fade-out ?

    Soudane GMTA · 0 · Posted

In the "help" text for the display Turn Off action, we have the following text:   "On some devices it takes about 3 seconds for it to really turn off, on others it might take around 10 seconds. Either way, a fully black screen will be shown while the screen doesn't really turn off."   Could we have a new option for the Turn Off action which would allow the display to fade out without it being covered by the black screen? Sometimes, this fade-out behavior is desirable when the display is being turned off.   Thank you very much

Ability to set AVRCP text info from tasker itself (while tasker has grab of media button events)

    Alok Bhai Sahu · 0 · Posted

The ability to grab audio focus to intercept media button events is very good but while tasker has audio focus auto tools or autonotification can't set the avrcp text (like a custom track name etc.) .So, please add the ability to set avrcp text from tasker itself , that would be very very useful , and I'll be very grateful .

"Enforce Task Order" for Different-Profile Tasks

    Randy · 0 · Posted

"Enforce Task Order" should apply not only to same-profile tasks, but also to "different-profile" tasks.

Or alternatively there should be a variant of Enforce Task Order for different-profile tasks. The execution order should be FIFO (First In, First Out) through and through ; Or even better, choosable, e.g. there's also LIFO, LILO, etc. .

The reason / intended usage is analogous to what the reason of the current Enforce Task Order for same-profile tasks would be. The current Enforce Task Order creates orderliness in the scope of profile. The proposed Enforce Task Order wants to create orderliness in the scope

    Cannot accept terms

Can Karsten · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

    Hello,

I am trying to install Tasker on my android head unit in my car.

The unit runs android 10. Upon opening the app I am asked to choose between Tasker or Tasky and then check all the required boxes.

When trying to check the accept terms box, the app crashes. Usually, it should show a popup but it just crashes repeatedly.

I have already tried to reboot the unit, to reinstall the app, and to install the tasker apk versions 6.0.10 and even 6.0.9 without any results.

Does anyone know a solution or have the same problem?

Input Dialog lag when a task starts from a start screen

Ilya · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

Tasker causes a significant lag in showing a Input Dialog (the first action in a task) when a task starts from a start screen. List Dialog is also affected. There's no lag if a task performs in Tasker itself.

    Theming UI enhancements

    Paul M · 0 · Posted

I have a couple of ideas for UI theming:

    1) Material You theme selection should include an option to have a 'light' main screen instead of the dark it defaults to. I'm guessing it's taken from the overall display setting on the device.

    2) Selecting a colored theme, for example, Tangerine, should keep the navigation bar that same color instead of black. It lends to a nicer aesthetic and is similar to Material You theming.

Read-Ahead Caching for Run Log [Low Hanging Fruit]

    Nick Betcher · 0 · Posted

Scrolling through the Run Log is painful, particularly when searching for text — it clearly only tries to load the next pane of results when the user requests the control to scroll down. Instead, Tasker should read-ahead continuously (up for about 10 seconds or N rows) until the user backs out of the Run Log.
