Call Forward not working after android 14 upgrade

Larry Kennedy · 1 · Last reply by João Dias

Call forwarding always worked for me until the Android 14 upgrade.   I have a Samsung S22+.

Now, Tasker launches the phone app, but it doesn't actually dial the number. It just sits there and I have to press dial.  To forward, I'm dialing the Verizon *72 sequence. I verified that I have the auto dial box checked.

Oddly, call Forward End *73 still works.

Ability to modify Maximum Tasks Queued using the Set Tasker Prefs. action

Would be beneficial for certain scenarios where a user may want to increase or decrease maximum tasks queued at different times without needing to manually do it inside of Tasker.

Can't enter tasker if it is left on a locked project

    Adam · 0 · Posted

I have several projects at the bottom. A few of them are locked. If I am in one of the locked projects, and then leave or close the app, then when I next open the app, I am naturally prompted for the lock code. However, if I don't have the lock code, then it forces me to leave the app. I can't find any way to switch to another project. I think it should allow for the option to switch to another project that isn't locked, given that "lock on startup" is not enabled.

Autoweb and Auto calendar error. help with profile.

    Rexx DZN · 0 · Posted

Dear Joao,    many months ago I started using tasker. So far I have created everything I could mostly using autoinput since it was easier and a few tasker functions specifically for the profile part (time, event and state). The main reason I have started using tasker however is that i wanted to automate stuff I do on a daily basis. Along the way I have added the goal to integrate my devices via tasker and join and I'm still busy with that and so far it is going well. However there is one profile that i can't create since

    Tasker Active/Inactive State

    Jason Cooper · 0 · Posted

It would be really useful if there was a variable, something like %ACTIVE that could be used in profiles to note when a task is running. It would be the same as using %TRUN !Set, but if possible, set to true and false when tasks run or not so that many profiles don't need to check for the turn state every time it changes.

Confirmatory Box before Toggling a Profile from The Home Page

    AutoLocation Backup/Restore

A Harper · 2 · Last reply by João Dias

Sent to support email, but trying here as well... I know from this closed post:

    https://tasker.helprace.com/i1649-autolocation-can-t-backup-and-restore

That there is an update to AutoLocation to allow backup/restore on newer devices. However, that update isn't available yet on the Play Store (I am in the Autolocation beta). I cannot sideload apps on my device due to Work profile policy.

Can a fixed version be made available on the Play Store?

%app_apk_public_source_dirs() returned by the App Info action contains variable names and duplicates when Package/App Name is provided through a variable

I have issues · 3 · Last reply by João Dias

App Info output variable %app_apk_public_source_dirs() returns the paths to split APK files belonging to an app. When App Info receives the package name through a variable, for example when in the enter task of a profile triggered by event New Package or Package Updated which passes the package name in %evtprm2, the output contains duplicates and variable names %app_apk_public_source_dirs[numbers up to 10].

For example, we install Simple Flashlight from the Play Store (so it consists of multiple APKs) and set Package/App Name in App Info to com.simplemobiletools.flashlight. %app_apk_public_source_dirs() returns:

    /data/app/~~B7hw9LsIMvoKBAxtESVvqw==/com.simplemobiletools.flashlight-zfPGc_nUh-lfXyne8IYBXw==/split_config.en.apk,/data/app/~~B7hw9LsIMvoKBAxtESVvqw==/com.simplemobiletools.flashlight-zfPGc_nUh-lfXyne8IYBXw==/split_config.xxhdpi.apk

Next we first create a variable and assign it the

Changing depth of video element restarts all videos

Streisand · 1 · Last reply by Streisand

Using the Element Depth action on a video element causes all videos in the scene go black and restart. This is annoying because videos take several seconds to restart.

Happens no matter what combination of element or scene settings there is.

kill the app on Android 14

Taras Ivashchuk · 2 · Last reply by João Dias

I used to kill the app with the help of built in command in Tasker in Android 13. What I have noticed is that after Android update to 14 this feature doesn't work as it is expected. Say I want to kill the Firefox running, and after I trigger the kill command I still observe Firefox running as nothing had happened to it. I also used the adb command am force-stop but the output was the same.

Non-Unique Task, Profile, and Scene Names

    Proposal:

Allow multiple tasks, scenes, and profiles to have the same name so long as they're in different projects. You can have the default be to check the current project so you don't break people's stuff and you can make it so that if there's only one task with said name, it'll use that one to further the not breaking of stuff.

    Examples:

    1) Project "Main" has a task named "Get Project Name" which returns "Main" while the project "Chrome" also has one which returns "Chrome". You could access Main's task thusly, "Main(Get Project Name)" and if the calling task

how to bring an app to the foreground

    Remko van Dokkum · 0 · Posted

I like to bring a running app to the foreground.

When I use the Launch app command it starts the app with its start screen.

Same as you would start the app when it was not running.

I need the app to stay on the screen it is on and only be brought to the foreground.

Same as if you would switch to an running app by hand.

Connected to specific Wifi does not work always

Björn Kautler · 1 · Last reply by Björn Kautler

I have a Wifi I regularly connect to. I have a Tasker profile that reacts to this Wifi being connected to and does some tasks. I recently enabled "Private DNS" setting in Android. Unfortunately this specific Wifi does not allow encrypted DNS (a.k.a. Private DNS). This means, I can connect to the Wifi successfully, but internet access over that Wifi is not working (exclamation mark besides the wifi symbol, internet not working with disabled mobile data).

I wanted to make Tasker disable "Private DNS" when connected to that Wifi and re-enable it when disconnecting to that Wifi. Unfortunately, this does

show indicator on profiles/tasks that have changed properties/hidden variables

bitclick · 1 · Last reply by bitclick

When i scroll through profiles/tasks in the lists i cannot see if there are some changed (not default) properties or profile/task -variables set.  This makes debugging hard, for ex. i wonder why my profile does not activate when in fact there is a cooldown set.

If tasks/properties would have an indicator showing "there is something set in the properties." debugging would be a lot quicker sometimes.
